Review titled Shocking surgery
Rated 1 star out of 5
by O lothian - Posted on 26 February 2024
Second review in a few weeks, still no appointment. Clearly something isn’t right, call every morning at 8 they say, so you call at 8 and are put in queue. When you get through no appointments call back tomorrow and have the same problem over and over. Don’t even think about asking for one in the next few weeks because you won’t get one. After telling many people I’ve realised it’s not every doctors surgery that does this. So if you want to be able to actually book an appointment do not go here. I will writing to PALS and the surgery manager (who I’ve already once before written to) I suggest everyone complain complain complain. Can’t get my prescription because I need a review yet they can’t give me an appointment to do a review. Absolutely shocking! Get more doctors! Stop taking on new patients when you can’t help the ones you have!!

Review titled Beyond a joke.
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Olwyn Lothian - Posted on 05 February 2024
This gp is shocking. I’ve been asking for a mental health appointment to review my meds for months to no avail until I gave up. Now whenever I try to order my medication it’s declined because I need a review, so I call to arrange a review when they first open and can’t get one. Why keep taking on patients if you can’t tend to the ones you already have. Joke of a surgery!

Review titled Excellent caring and prompt service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jane Bowater - Posted on 06 June 2023
I had symptoms which seemed likely to be a urine infection so I dropped a urine sample into Surgery at 2.30pm. At 3pm I received a text to say that a GP would phone me regarding my urine sample that afternoon. At 5pm really helpful locum GP called me to say sample indicated that I had a urine infection. He prescribed the appropriate antibiotic and sent the prescription electronically to my pharmacy immediately. I was therefore able to collect the prescription and to start treatment immediately. Sample being sent to laboratory for further testing and I was advised to call the surgery for more specific results. Excellent service from the helpful receptionist to the caring GP, who called me so promptly to enable immediate treatment to begin I am grateful and recommend this practice 100%

Review titled Great doctors and nurses but horrible reception staff
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Let me start off this review by saying that the doctors and nurses at this surgery are fantastic - when you can actually get an appointment to see them that is. The reception staff at Lea Road are awful and have absolutely no phone manners. They are always abrupt and can’t wait to get you off the phone. Even when giving blood test results over the phone, they are vague and not very helpful but don’t seem to offer an appointment for someone to talk it over with you. The worst of it is though that when you are talking to them, they sigh over the phone. It’s completely off putting and just downright rude. If they don’t like the job, then perhaps they should consider a different career! I would suggest a course in Customer Services or basic phone etiquette asap!
