I called the gp expressing the fact that I hadn’t slept all night due to server tightness of breath because of an asthma flare up and would like an emergency prescription for an inhaler. The receptionist proceeds to tell me there isn’t much that can be done besides a call in a few hours. I explained that I was having trouble breathing and needed to see someone. After being firm and repeating myself I was then told to come. There was a great lack of compassion and understanding for my situation as she did nothing to try and support.

They are never on time on their appointments, the average waiting time is like 30 minutes. I spent more time waiting to be seen than in the actual consultation. Doctors seem more interested in keeping the referral targets low than the actual patients' well being.
