    Having a encountered a painful problem in my leg whilst on holiday on my return I requested an appointment to see a Dr. Appointment given and attended. Dr ordered a set of hospital test’s appropriate for the issue I was experiencing. All completed within a month. Everyone was helpful, understanding and professional . Having been in the medical profession myself ,I know some of the challenges the team face and appreciate their efforts on my behalf.

    I wanted to give an updated review. I have recently had surgery and have needed some additional care from the practice. I'm pleased to say that the standard of care at Langley House is still exceptional and absolutely amazing. The day after discharge from hospital I was quite unwell. I rang the surgery at 8.15am, call answered within 30 seconds, appointment made and doctor called at 10.30 and was very kind. I then had my routine appointment for post-op review with my usual amazing doctor whose care, as always, was incredible. Then, just when I think the surgery cannot get any better they surpass expectations, I needed another emergency appointment due to worrying symptoms in relation to the surgery, but it was 5.15pm on a Friday. I rang and the doctor agreed to call (despite how late I contacted the practice) and called within 30 minutes. Absolutely outstanding post-op care. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, you are an amazing this team, and of course particular thanks to my own surperb GP's outstanding and incredible care (not allowed to name here, but you know who you are). Thank you.

    When you finally get to see someone, the service is great. I saw a lovely Doctor who was really helpful and thorough, depite being under a lot of pressure (I was seen 45 mins after my appointment time!) Whilst waiting, I was reading the Langley House stats on the wall and was disgusted by the number of missed appointments. It occurred to me that - although I received a text confirmation at the time of making the appointment, I didn't receive a reminder (despite having to wait 30 days!!!) Maybe if you sent out reminders a few days before the appointment, those people who no longer need their time slot, might cancel and allow the slot to be filled again? Another suggestion - why have you stopped using the waiting room upstairs? The poor Doctor has to wait 5 mins for each patient to climb the stairs! It was far more efficient having patients making their way up to the waiting room upstairs when they arrive. ........and finally.........Online booking doesn't work anymore! This must increase the pressure on the receptionists - why have you taken away this really useful system?

    Thank you for your feedback and very pertinent questions. 1. Along with many other practices, we have been investigating a reliable way of sending appointment reminders to patients which differentiates between face-to-face appointments and telephone appointments and are as frustrated as our patients that the technology is not up to scratch. We are hopeful of a solution by the Autumn via our phone system but we are in limbo until then. 2. We had to make the decision 2.5 years ago to only have a downstairs waiting room and then be able to employ additional staff such as our Pharmacist, care co-ordinators and paramedics as we have no other space for these valuable additional roles. In practice, when GPs overrun in their surgeries, this is overwhelmingly due to the clinical complexity of the patients presenting at the time, rather than the location of the surgery. 3. We do have online booking of telephone and face-to-face consultations for all our GPs - we cannot release all appointments online as a proportion need to be available for our GPs to use for follow-up.     Feeling rather ill and in pain, the receptionist was pleasant and helpful. She arranged an appointment with Dr Gareth within the next 2 hours. I had not met this doctor before, but he smiled, was quick to diagnose, explain and prescribe. He also arranged to ring me on a specific date and time. I could not have asked for more. This was medical attention at it's best and as I once knew it. Thank you Dr Gareth.

    I visited a nurse for post op examination. She was wonderfully patient, kind, expert and put my mind at ease. In previous times I have needed to make appointments at the practice, I have always had positive experiences. The doctors are professional and caring as are the nurses. The receptionists too are thoughtful and actually listen to you, showing initiative and care. It was so warming to notice one time I was waiting how much care and understanding was given to an elderly woman who was clearly a bit confused and worried. Thank you to all who work at this great practice

    I have been unwell for several weeks over Christmas and New Year and have had to contact the surgery several times, had telephone consultations, seen GPs face to face and had prescriptions issued. Every single experience was a positive one. I have not had to wait, every interaction has been friendly and professional. I cannot believe how well this surgery supports its patients at such a difficult time for the NHS. Thank you for all you do.

    I wanted to come and leave a review of Langley House Surgery to praise their service, from me and my two sons who have received nothing but amazing care and support from everyone there, receptionists, GPs, dispensing staff, nurses and anyone else I may have missed! We have been with Langley House for coming up to 10 years and it is honestly such a pleasure to tell people that Langley House is our GP surgery. Whether it’s phone calls or face to face, everyone is so attentive and understanding. We are always listened to entirely and nothing is ever too much. Especially since the pandemic and the NHS has been struggling immensely, the service here has not changed one bit, despite longer hours and much much harder working conditions for all staff they still always have a smile on their faces and treat you like you really really matter. I could go on and on about how amazing everyone is at Langley House! All we can say is thank you From Sophie and family X

    I phoned on 27th December expecting a long wait as the surgery will have been shut for 4 days over weekend and Xmas, but my call was answered really promptly and I didn't need to speak to the doctor, as the receptionist was able to answer all my questiond

    I guessed I had developed shingles and phoned the surgery. It was a Monday morning, so lines were busy - I took the option to have them call me back. They called me back within 10 mins and asked me my symptoms and sent me a link asking for photos. This I did and within 2 hours the Doctor had called me and precribed anti-viral pills which I picked up from pharmacy later that day. Excellent service, cannot fault

    I had a telephone call with one of the reception staff and unfortunately they were rude and abrupt. I felt I was being pushed off the call (I only had a simply enquiry anyway).

    Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you felt you were dismissed. In October we sent a Friends and Family survey to patients who have had an appointment in the last month; 240 patients replied with 90% saying they would be likely or very likely to recommend us to friends and family. We had a large number of positive comments specifically about our reception team, describing how helpful, respectful and friendly they are.
