  1. Review titled Very happy

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Mrs J Ellis - Posted on 19 August 2024

I contacted khs today via econsult on behalf of my husband. Our choice was to be contacted by Dr Gandhi if possible. Within the hour my husband received a call offering him an appointment either f2f or in person with Dr Gandhi the same day. We are fairly new patients to khs and have to admit that our only previous contact with them was not at all satisfactory. Today however was a completely different story, we were very pleased with today's appointment and found Dr Gandhi to be very caring and interested in my husband. In addition he listened asked lots of questions and decided a prescription was needed. It was a pleasure to meet Dr Gandhi and whilst the nhs is struggling it was so refreshing to meet a GP who has his patients welfare and care at heart. So often we forget to say thank you but are very quick to complain, so thank you khs and in particular Dr Gandhi.

  2. Review titled Frustrating and overly complex

Rated 1 star out of 5

It’s a shame as a few of the receptionists have been amazing but overall since moving to Kent two yeses ago I have been shocked and appalled at the service here. Most recently, an gp appointment through work at asked me to have my bloods re taken through my local gp in July. Kent House insisted I waited 3 weeks for a doctors appointment first, to then book a blood test and then have it cancelled the day before and need to wait another 3 weeks taking me into September. The doctor was incredibly unclear on next steps, including missing out that he needed a swab so at the point of my blood and scan results being back, I was then told by the r receptionist I still needed a swap and the next appointment was in 3 weeks. This could have all been booked back in early August, instead of waiting over 6 weeks to just tick the boxes for the referral. The receptionist also told me all my results were normal and no further action would take place, despite the doctor having told me he just needed these results to then refer me on. I was told to do another econsult and wait again for another appointment. This is just one of the many incredibly frustrating experiences. I’ve also had blood tests come back and been told normal when actually things have been under normal range. I understand the nhs is stretched but I would be fired in my job if I didn’t know the right processes or gave customers the wrong information and yet that seems to happen time after time here.

  3. Review titled Very good service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Richard Smart - Posted on 20 August 2024

I’ve had to make use of the surgery a few times this year and found the Econsult service very efficient. Surgery call me back within a couple of hours and I’ve got to see a healthcare professional within 24 hours each time. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

  4. Review titled Person in Pain

Rated 1 star out of 5

I used to have a diabetic review each year but I cant recall the last time I had one, probably 3+ years ago. Impossible to get an appointment with a GP anymore, you can only make an appointment to see a nurse and even thats mostly for children. e-consult several times has resulted in a text reply stating a doctor will be in touch between 2 and 3 weeks time and when they do i'm afraid i've not been able to understand what the doctor is saying. It is not one of the doctors I used to see. I can't understand why an appointment to see a doctor f2f can no longer be made by phone, online, or at the reception personally, as could be done in the past. When telephoning the surgery to make a blood test appointment I've been told I am number 12 in the queue after listening to a lengthy introduction and 10 minutes later I was told I was still 12 in the queue ! If everyone in the queue takes an average of 5 minutes to be answered that's over an hours wait ! I cannot see how doctors can justify the substantial salary they receive when you are no longer able to see them. It is the patients who enable them to work and be paid that generous salary yet now we are treated like a nuisance and not worthy of their attention !

I had an appointment with the male paramedic today and he was brilliant. Acceptance of my sensitivities of meds. Understanding and gave me time and thorough examination. Amazing and so very friendly hope I have him on every visit. Lovely person.

  6. Review titled Impossible to deal with

Rated 1 star out of 5

Phone lines are always double digit queues and only being answered by one surgery despite being shared across 3 sites. Practices are manned by deflated staff members - probably in parallel with the level of disappointed patients approaching them. Econsult hours are a measly 7.30-10.00 and that is it. If you're lucky to submit your econsult in time you may be lucky to get the correct path of action you're looking for - or you might not too. Massively understaffed for patient numbers and yet theyre still accepting more. Poor.

  7. Review titled Great experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I contacted the surgery today. The telephone wait was about 15 minutes, Less time than walking there. The receptionist was very very helpful, thank you. The Doctor phoned back really quickly and was so thorough and professional.I was treated with respect and dignity. This is how good things can be. thank you all again

  8. Review titled Confused

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 December 2023

The CQC review shows "Good". But the patient reviews say otherwise. It is very difficult to get an appointment, so I assume that the Practice is short of Doctors but they are accepting new patients. I find the whole system a nightmare. I recently needed antiviral medication and the reply to my phone call was a text telling me to call 111 (I have lost count of the times I have asked not to be contacted on my mobile as it is unreliable). They told me it was the GP responsibility but fortunately tried anyway and I did get them. It is very sad as it used to be an excellent Practice. Looking at Istead Rise the reviews don't seem any better.

Might I suggest that our government stores its gold reserves in Kent House Surgery in Longfield. It would be totally safe as it is totally impossible for the public to get in there!

  10. Review titled GP’s are great. Let down by admin and management

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Dean Jeffreys - Posted on 12 June 2023

Terrible experience today and I normally rave about this practice. The doctors themselves are great but I’m afraid in recent years the practice has become terrible. As of today I actually changed my doctors to another. The doctors need to look at the admin and office staff. They are letting the practice down and are rude and quite frankly unhelpful. I was pretty much called a liar today and asked to prove myself even though I’m 3 days out of surgery. The person on the phone made come to the practice to prove what medication I needed, even though it had been given in at both surgeries. I can’t say I’m happy leaving because certain doctors are first class. Sadly practices management and admin staff really really let the whole thing down.
