I had a sensitive problem.Over three months it was dealt with sympathetically quickly and efficiently by the doctors and staff- by one personal consultation and two consultations by telephone efficiently set up and carried into affect – all sorted. I am most grateful.

  3. Review titled a great experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I called the surgery in the morning and was given a callback by the on call GP later the same day. He answered my questions and gave me a F2F appointment the next working day. After seeing him I came away with clear information about my concerns and a timely referral to a dermatologist. A good experience and patient friendly manner. Thank you.

  4. Review titled terrible service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been trying to get my son vaccinations for going to India since September. He is 16. At first I rang and they said they had to speak to him so I had to wait until he was free. Then when he phoned they said they couldn't book him an appointment as we would speak to a nurse first. The only date they had was about 3 weeks in advance. Today between 10 and 11am. The nurse hasn't called. It is half term, I work in schools so that is why I could take the call as I am on half term holiday. Now I have waited nearly one hour to speak to reception. The queue started at 15 people - its now only at number 10 after one hour- that means on average I have another two hours to wait. What am I meant to do? Its going to be too late to get the vaccinations soon There is no-one to contact. What an awful service.

  5. Review titled Not as great as it used to be

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Seika - Posted on 11 August 2023

Telephoned the surgery after recieving a text to call them. I was number 2 in line and still it took 46 minutes to get through to someone. The prior week I went into the surgery to book a same day appointment not aware that they no longer offer bookings onsite. The receptionist kindly booked an appointment for 11:10am as I was there already she said. I asked if I could wait and remained on site and was told yes. At 11:22am I approached the same reception to query the appointment as the time had passed and I wasn't called. She looked on the system and said she didn't understand what happened but would check. Other people were in line so she asked me to have a seat. She then attended to two people and although I made a point to sit in her line of vision, she seemed to have forgotten me eventhough she also passed by me twice. Another 30 minutes, I rejoined the reception line and was approached by another member of staff who had noticed I had been in the surgery for over 2 hours. This person seemed concerned and proceeded to help by asking another receptionist to check. Apparently, I was noted as not attended even though I never left the surgery, this was due to that I was never checked in by the first receptionist and same one who said she didn't know what happened and would check. This more helpful member of staff apologised and proceeded to check with the doctor to let him know and ask if I could be seen. The doctor saw me and I'm grateful. I was however upset that the first receptionist could not own her error and be honest and take the same actions as the member of staff who helped instead of being dishonest and then ignoring me. I've been with this surgery for nearly 20 years now but in recent times its become more challenging and confusing to deal with. Despite this it still has some familiar faces and GPs who offer great service.

  6. Review titled Blood Tests

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lileath James - Posted on 27 June 2023

I had my bloods taken today - 27th June 2023 at 13:45 and the service received by the two members of staff there was amazing. I have a fear of needles and they were both so kind and gentle and spoke with reassurance. They were both lovely. Thank you.

  7. Review titled Wonderful Paediatric GP

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Our GP was kind and sympathetic to us in our appointment; and we received helpful advice from him delivered in an easy to understand way, and his respectful and gentle manner towards our child helped us stay calm when we were very worried.

  8. Review titled Staff speaking and acting rudely and beyond their knowledge

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have tried to make an appointment by calling early at 8:00, after waiting for a long long time in a queue, to be told there isn't any available. I have been waiting for a referral that a GP made 2 years ago. Waited for a long time (went to emergency department while waiting. They adviced to have an earlier referral). So called the Islington Central Medical, only to be told by another GP that I was not even referred because apparently the previous GP had sent a sms on my phone 2 years ago to complete a form that I did not even receive. Told all this to a receptionist, who said that I shouldn't have gone to emergency department, because people only go there when they break bones etc. When I told her that I need to be referred again, she said this time I have to wait 6 years for it, laughing in a sarcastic way. I was not able to reply from feeling awful.

  9. Review titled Used to be good

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 March 2023

The excuse of covid has changed the way doctors treat people, if asking “too much” even if it’s symptoms to do with the cause of the issue (all of 5 mins) you get cut off and any problem you have is hardly ever solved anymore. Cut off when on the phone and can never see them in person anymore, they don’t seem to care!

So awful service. I submitted my GP registration but they lost my GP registration papers after two weeks. I didn’t get any responses from GP after submitting application two weeks. I submitted again today, hopefully they don’t lost it again.
