    My mother is unable to make appointments for herself because she is consistently told to book online, despite not having the digital literacy skills needed to use online services. As a result, she constantly relies on us to make appointments, but we aren’t always available to help. It’s unreasonable that she can't schedule her own doctor’s appointments due to this barrier. Additionally, she has been waiting for a document from the doctor for an entire month and was told she would be contacted, yet she has heard nothing so far.

    Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. I am the Practice Manger at Hopwood House Medical Practice and i have looked into your feedback, however due to your post being Anonymous i am unable to contact you regarding this. Please feel free to contact the surgery to discuss this further if you feel the need to. We have taken your concerns on board and we do ensure that any patients that are struggling with the App or any other issue, that all Reception Staff are there to help and can also fill the online consultation in for your relative. We initially sent a text out to all patients to explain to them that to make the Receptionist on the call aware of any struggles and they will help. We will send the text out again to all patients ensuring that no one struggles with any process when contacting the surgery for an appointment. Regarding the issue with the Document if you could contact the surgery on 0161 6283628 then we can look into this further for you.

    So basically i have been diagnosed with endometriosis stage four and i want second opinions from my doctors and my gynaecologist team whoever is dealing my case with they are not dealing with my case properly which am not getting help at all whats so ever i had Mri on d ecember 2023 i want second opinions from my gynaecologist team i ring them up every single day and my doctors every other day to get an mri scan done i’m going back and forward like a lunatic ring them ring them and they say no i asked them why ! There response is yah whatever from december 2023 from September 2024 that is nine months down the line I ring my GP up saying I want an mri done scan done privately write me a letter stating the condition i am in so i can go to the private clinic and get my report every clinic so i can make my decision therefore i have ring them up so far they need a gp referral but therefore my gp are refusing to write me a simple letter why i do not understand open till today this gp is absolutely disgusting waste of time nothing can be done i hope every patient is reading this thank you !!!

    The only way to get an appointment at this surgery is using the NHS app. I submitted a thorough explanation of my issue, and after waiting a few days, had an appointment that was schedule a whole 14 days later. The working day before the appointment, I received a message from the surgery stating my appointment will be between 7:30am and 9:30am. I made myself available during that time. They did not ring me in the window they specified. They instead rang at 10:02am when I was no longer available. I rang the surgery back at 10:18am, and they said they will not be able to see me today, and worse - they will not be able to see me for another 2 weeks now! The lady on the phone was incredibly unhelpful and did not provide anything other than "that's all we can do, 2 weeks from now, you missed the call when we rang". Eventually after I said I would make a complaint she apologised but still blamed me for their message and said I should have disregarded the two hour window as "they don't use that". She completely disassociated any responsibility for the message (even though it is there system that has sent it) Appalling behaviour. This is my first interaction with this surgery and I would not recommend using them at all.

    Dear Mr Beddows , thank you for taking the time to post this review. I am very sorry you have not had a positive experience when contacting the practice. We have recently changed our appointment system following changes from the Government regarding how and when we can book appointments. Unfortunately we are not in control of the appointment reminders which do not match our procedures and we are trying to amend this to say the telephone call would be anytime between 8am and 6.30pm. You should have been informed of this when you booked your appointment and I can only apologise if this did not happen. I have tried to contact you this morning to discuss this further however I could not get through. Please contact me at the surgery at your earliest convenience.     I have missed an appointment to have my bloods taken . I apologise most sincerely to every member of the staff . they all work so hard to offer the best service within the NHS . And don’t need me missing appointments . I will not be missing any more appointments as I will ensure that my reminder alarms are set to ensure Attendance. My sincere Thankyou to all the Staff at Hopwood House what a brilliant job you do James Taylor

  5. Review titled Cancelled minor operation due to lack of informaion

    An apointment was made on Thursday 30th May 2024 for me to attend the medical practice to have a minor operation. On arrival the doctor could not carry out procedure due to lack of medical information from my GP. A CT scan and follow-up apointments had been carried out prior to the date of the minor operation. Very poor service, i wasted the morning and had to re-schedule my work comitments to be told the operation could not take place. I recicved three text message inofrming of th emior operaiton at no stage did the practice ring me to confirm details and ensure the correct inofrmation was avialable prior to minor operation takin g place. Very unprofessional service recicved, followed up later in day to ring the reccpetion to understand why this occured, very liited information provided and was tols there was not much else that could be done to help me.

    Dear Mr Hussain, we are sorry that you are unhappy with your experience at Hopwood House however, as your GP did not provide us with the appropriate information it would have been unsafe for us to go ahead with the procedure. We were not made aware that you were already under secondary care for your problem and on examination it was clear to the clinician that it was not suitable for this to be undertaken in primary care.     I rung up 1 week ago for the first time they told me that I had to register on nhs app for appointment and they said it would be 72 hours for verification still haven't been verified and they was still refusing a appointment my health got so bad I was rushed into hospital the receptionist was very rude and refusing to help they don't care about there patients

    I wanted to make an appointment for the doctors. As I work I needed to book on my day off. I was told that the appointments were closed for certain days and I couldn't book for the following week. As appointments are so difficult to get, why can't I book ahead? The receptionist made me feel uncomfortable and a little stupid. I felt like I was wasting her time.

    I find hard to believe that one person at your practice puts you on medication that carries very bad side effects when starting out on you’re treatment route, to then be told by another that there is a country wide shortage of the product so just do without it. Looked online and there are alternatives, but the Dr’s just do not seem to be bothered. Reception staff lovely, just seem to work for charlatans.

    Quick follow-up after visit, after spotting cholesterol was slightly higher than last year. When explained the reason for this, next year's test will be before Easter, to prevent a similar situation.
