Review titled Doctor receptionist
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 September 2024
Well what to start from oh yh I know my son had temperature 39° to 39.4°from 26 to 27 of september 24 on Friday 27 I have ring my GP to make appointment with the doctor so he can check what's going on plus my son suffers from migraine. While calling I have been 8 on the line but I have waited cos it was important when finally they picked up it was around 11:10 or 11:15 something like that the girl on reception start taking details of my son and she asked what is the problem so I have explained to her that his thought hurts that he have temperature and headache finally she decided to said that doctor will not see my son and that they out off appointments and that my son have a virus and it is normal at this time of the year plus it didn't pass 48 hours so doctor will not seen him anyway I get to argument with her she didn't wanted to make this appointment so I have asked her what kind of health clinic they r her answer was "normal" so I hanged out and I get my son to king street health clinic and they have seen him checked him and he have tonsillitis and he get an antibiotic for 10 day. In my opinion this person shouldn't give her diagnosis to patients or make decission to do this is a professional not her as her job is to answer the phone ask what is the matter and make the appointment. I am really disappointed in this clinic as previously there was no problems like this we are paying taxes for something and we are not getting help from people we should to trust with our health. What if this situation could get worse? Who will be answering to this? What if this could get more worse than tonsillitis? How can she know what is wrong with anyone through the phone or without the appropriate documents or certificates? I am disappointed and angry.

Review titled Abrupt unsympathetic lady on the reception
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Richard - Posted on 24 April 2024
Whilst calling via the surgery today to explain we had a medical emergency with my mother, I was greeted by a lady on reception more interested in eating that greeting us. I explained the problem and she wasn’t at all willing to help. Her abrupt mannerisms were totally unnecessary, not just to my self but to other patients. She was unacceptable and it is not expected by patients who are at the end of their life. She used two word sharp answers to a patient in regards to life saving medication. When it was finally my turn, I was greeted with, yes can I help! No apology for keeping me stood waiting while she typed for 5 mins after the patient before me walked out, who she made look foolish. My mother is at end of life and I asked for some advice from the lady who just said we are full, ring tomorrow. She wasn’t even going to let me explain the problem and certainly was not willing to seek support from any GP to advise me. When I explained the problem she abruptly repeated again. We are full. When I asked for the complaints procedure she informed me she was a manager her self and asked what my issue was. I walked away feeling humiliated.

After visiting the surgery at the beginning of the week I asked how to request a prescription, the lady on reception was very rude and abrupt in her answer. I explained I have problems writing so she took my details and said she was the prescription lady and would send them straight through. I waited until Friday to visit the pharmacy to collect them, prescription lady told me to leave it a few days and they should be ready. After visiting there wasn’t any medication ready. Spoke to helpful lady on the phone and she informed me that nothing had been sent. I was very cross at this point as I was running out of medication. The new lady was very helpful and polite and said she would get this sorted for me. A few hours later she called me to inform me that it had been sent ensuring she informed me in good time before the pharmacy closed. Why can’t all your staff be helpful and not rude and speak down to patients.
