    I understand that the front facing staff are the first point of contact for the surgery and therefore, recieve the bulk of any ire that comes through the door, but, I have to criticise how they handle the front desk. I understand jobs like theirs are often underpaid and overworked, and it's difficult to act with passion under those circumstances. However, the way I was handled on entry was a bit jarring. I was not "recieved" at all. It wasn't clear I was even at the reception. Just completely blanked by the staff on arrival, I try to tilt my head and get someone's eye contact and I get something like "just wait there, we will be with you soon" in a pretty grumpy tone, like I'm the inconvenience. It's quite clear the reception staff have a script they are running (which is fine) with the robotic "hi, can I help?" that eventually arrived, I just don't understand why "hi there, bear with me I'll be with you soon" isn't a part of the script. There's no queuing system so you're just stood there like a lemon in the small reception area lording over some people tapping away at computers not paying a blind bit of notice to you. It's rude! It ultimately doesn't matter, I'm assuming the reception staff aren't paid enough to care about everyone that walks through the door, my point is that it was a flaw what was an incredibly caring and thorough experience by the medical staff. That's my honest feedback. Maybe pay your admin staff a bit more and give them less work, because clearly they aren't having fun down there...

    I submitted an online request for a phone appointment to get some antibiotics, however was informed that I would have to visit the pharmacy in person as due to the lack of appointments and the pressure staff were under, they were now able to refer patients to the pharmacy first system. However, I was unable attend due to work commitments and having an upcoming trip, which I was worried about given the discomfort I was in. However, once I let the GP practice know I wasn't going to be able to, one of the doctors called me and was able to make an exception, carried out my consultation over the phone, was incredibly kind and understanding and ensured I was able to get my antibiotics. Thank you for taking the time to do this and it is very much appreciated!

    The doctor was understanding and compassionate. The doctor is proactive in finding solutions to my medical problems. On this occasion I was listened to and suitable treatment was offered. I found the experience to be positive and was happy.

    My call from the practice pharmacist was in response to issues I had raised online. He was friendly and helpful, sorted out my medications and consulted a GP about one issue, getting back to me promptly with the information I needed.

    Had a telephone appointment. They called when they said they would. Pharmacist was polite and helpful. Answered all my questions and gave some useful advice.

    The GP I saw was engaging, empathic and thorough. I was seen on the same day as my phone appointment and referred the same day too. It did take me a to work out how to request an appointment, but once I had it was fine.

    I have seen two doctors at The Hollies recently and also received two phone consultations, The care I got was excellent throughout. Quick access to face to face, quick referrals and quick follow ups to the referral results. The quality of communication was also just as one might hope for- clear explanations and a willingness to listen to the patient. From any service provider I always look for competence and conscientiousness - with my recent healthcare I got both. Given the current state of the NHS, healthcare as good as this must be very difficult to proof. Well done.

    Attended surgery with mum who had a long list of health concerns. Dr L was very kind, understanding and patient and did a thorough assessment and examination with appropriate referrals. Mum came away from the appointment feeling listened to, relieved and less worried about her health and she felt it was being addressed. Thank you

    Although I called with a routine issue and waited a few weeks for an appointment face to face, I was happy to do so as the appointment was thorough. The GP registrar was helpful, listened to my issues and I felt very confident in her management. I was seen on time and found booking online very straightforward. I am very happy with the experience I received.
