Review titled Treated like a criminal by some Drs
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Pamela Williamson - Posted on 15 May 2023
I filled in an econsult form for painful varicose veins- based on advice from the NHS website, I was given the following response, I felt like this was written in a way that made me sound like I was trying to hustle the NHS out of some free treatment, when in reality I just want to speak to a medical professional about a medical problem, and bearing in mind that I'm also under cardiology, I found this response to be absolutely unacceptable: "Thank you for your recent eConsult request. Unfortunately, it was not clear from the consult what help or advice you were hoping for with regards to the varicose veins in your leg. You may wihs to book a routine appointment with one of the Drs to discuss this further? Please note though, there is extreme limitations on free NHS treatment for varicose veins, and most proceedures are required to be done privately."

I came to the surgery on a mon with a urine infection and took a sample in, on wed I rang up for the results Still suffering but they said my sample was still in the lab under going tests, come fri I rung up again still suffering was told to take another sample in It was bank holiday weekend & I thought no way I am going to hear anything till Tues Over a week later. I felt so poorly on sat I rang primary care and a doctor rang me back and was given a 3 day course of antibiotics, I suffer from this problem alot & antibiotics are the only thing that sort it out which surely should be on my records. Very disappointed with the practice

Review titled Sent around the town thanks to the expert receptionist!!
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Dave - Posted on 18 January 2023
Phoned for an appointment for my 10 year old son.. was told that may have to ring back as they’ve got “nothing”.. do they not use diaries?? Anyway she asked what the problem was and when we said she told us pharmacy deals with the issue.. I went to 4 different pharmacies for treatment and none could help me and referred me back to the doctors… Absolutely shocking service and I would advise anyone to just keep pressing to see a doctor because the receptionists should not be giving medical advice!!! Seriously considering going private because the NHS is falling apart
