My aunt was ill with a variety of complaints and I was very concerned. I persuaded her to complete an econsult as I had used them before and been very satisfied. Yes she got a reply next day saying the doctor needed to see her face to face and an appointment would be made for her. Firstly if the doctor thought she needed a face to face he should have phoned and explained and secondly an appointment should have been made for that day. When I went to see her she was still waiting for the appointment. I phoned the practice and explained to them. They said sorry but the next free appointment would be in five days time.... This is not good enough, The receptionist was no help just saying this is what the doctor said.

Review titled No need for a casualty visit
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Sharon Ely - Posted on 25 July 2023
Nurse practitioner advised an elderly family member to attend casualty, even though it was clear the problem was shingles (we did actually say to practitioner that we thought it looked like shingles, but was advised they didn’t think it was). Doctor at casualty department couldn’t understand why we had been referred there, as soon as we walked into room he said it was shingles. He said a call should’ve been made to the eye infirmary as the shingles was in the eye region and causing blurred vision and there was no reason for him to be in casualty as GP could’ve administered medication and made an eye infirmary referral.
