Review titled I need to leave 0 stars
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Gary Leishman - Posted on 07 March 2023
The only way to get appointments is through a phone call between 0830 & 0900 each morning. Last time it took me 7 months to see someone as the phones are always busy, no wonder there are huge phone queues with such a small booking timeframe. Meds are not checked or reviewed properly, emails from a specialist are ignored, test results are not communicated.

Review titled Medication
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Fern P - Posted on 23 January 2023
Like another review I have also had issues receiving medication I have been on for 7 and 11 year’s respectively for my mental health. They’ve took them off repeat and onto acute order and I respect their valid concerns. But the way they’ve gone about it is shocking, mixed messages all day. I now cannot even order my medication online through the app as normal. This has caused me so much stress and it’s only the first day - have made a formal complaint which I hope we can resolve amicably.

Hi Fern, I am sorry this new process is causing you some stress, we have received you formal complaint and will be in touch to resolve this quickly. We do have to have these processes in place to safeguard patients and as a duty of care, but going forward we will make sure all staff are clear so they know how to advise patients correctly. Thank you Operational Manager

Review titled Really bad practice

Suddenly it is impossible to order repeat prescription of your medication. Despite you are taking meds for years. They tell, you have to book a visit with GP first, and then they do not offer you any visit! Ring tomorrow morning, they said. "You are 18 in a queue" they said the next day morning. We don't have any appointments available, try again tomorrow they said. "you are 12 in a queue" they said again. They do not provide any medical service.

Dear Patient, When patients are on long term medication we have duty of care to review them. I can also appreciate appointments are difficult to obtain but we will never stop medication, we just have to highlight that a review is needed, you can also make appointments online through the app to save you being on hold. Or email the practice and the reception manager will get back to you. kind regards Operational Manager

Review titled Medication
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Michelle Christie - Posted on 17 November 2022
For 20 years I have been on the same medication which the practice sends to my local pharmacy every month. Occasionally they ask me to send a BP reading which I do. I work full time 8-6 Mon-Fri so this has worked fine since I moved to the area in 2006. Suddenly they have seen fit to stop me from getting one of my medications on repeat and insist I come into the surgery even though I have sent them my BP reading. I would need to take time off work and have no holiday left to do this. I think it is despicable that they are stopping the medication that I have taken for my BP for 20 years or more. It is hardly taking care of my health but stopping them. It is disgusting and if anything happens to me I will make sure that everyone knows they are responsible. You can never get an appointment anyway. They do not care about me as a patient. I will be making a complaint and taking this further. Meanwhile I will be going on without my BP medication.

Dear Michelle, I am sorry you are unhappy with the service you have received. We are bound by a duty of care to monitor patient’s Blood pressure and receive readings to update records and act accordingly to the results we receive. We have not stopped your medication.
