  1. Review titled Extremely poor 'service'

Rated 1 star out of 5

Ages to get an initial appointment, no one calls when they say they will to arrange appointments for blood tests etc or a GP to discuss concerns. Tests (CT) undertaken are not checked /chased by anyone until we chased it ourselves with the hospital. Antiboitics sent to a chemist which closed at 5.30pm on Friday afternoon, and a message sent at 5.45 pm informing us that it was awaiting collection, this resulted in being admitted to hospital as no antibiotics were available, the chemist did not open til Monday morning! No referral was made when we were told twice it had been and 'they must be busy' and that's why we never heard about an appointment. Told later that it had been 'just sat there'. And it goes on. There are no words....

Thank you for your leaving your review of the service you received. We are sorry that this has not been the standard you would expect from us as your GP surgery. Depending on the type of enquiry you are making into the surgery the timescales for a callback may differ and sometimes we may use text communication for higher efficiency. It may take a few weeks to receive CT scan results and we do not have the level of resources to chase the results for all our patients however where required we will prioritise patients in acute need of these results and act upon them where required. Unfortunately, we do not have control of your pharmacy's opening hours and we recommend that you request a token from the surgery which you can use at another pharmacy to dispense your medication in this situation. Alternatively, a prescription barcode may be used which can be provided by a member of staff at the reception. Due to a lack of details I cannot comment on the referral and for this, I apologise. However, should you want us to look into this further, please feel free to email us at hnyicb-ny.haxbypatientexperience@nhs.net providing further details about your concerns. Kind Regards Piotr Patient Experience Team
