    I was very poorly and I tried on three consecutive days 91, 94, 97 times from 8am( when the lines opened)until I spoke to the reception 40 minutes approximately later. To be told no appointments available for either the Nurse or Doctor on the day or out of hours, one appointment available approx 11 days time. I rang 111 in desperation and I was admitted to hospital 1 day later and spent 11 days very poorly in North Tees. On discharge I was told to make an appointment if I had any problems and again I rang 84 times to be told no appointments available. Advised to do Econsult which was answered 28 hours later. Too late to be any help! I had to attend accident and emergency department. It is a totally disgraceful state of a doctors practice….. to cap it off you can only make an appointment by telephone no longer face to face. What happens if you don’t have a phone or credit. I was a huge advocate for this Practice and would recommend it to family and friends. Now, I am totally ashamed I have done this. I was born into this Practice 58 years and have been with the surgery through many changes and challenges. I no longer have any trust with the practice and it’s method of appointments… you can get an appointment to have a health check, weight check, heart check, we’ll woman/ man check as the practice receive funding for each and every person that has these checks. I have looked how to raise my concerns in the hopes that it doesn’t happen to anyone else. However, no procedure for issues available on their website or NHS site.

    Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you have had difficulty contacting the practice on the occasions you have documented. I would very much like to speak to you regarding these issues and would appreciate it if you could contact the Practice Manager at your convenience. Of note, NHS 111 is a service that can be utilised 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and you do not have to wait until you are desperately poorly to contact them. Also, Econsult is a service that we offer but this is a non-urgent service that can take up to 48 hours for the practice to answer. There is only limited information that a practice can add to the NHS UK site but there is information on how to contact the practice on our website if you need to air any concerns to us. Again, please contact us if you would like to discuss anything further.

    No empathy, no ears, no effort. Just bullish behaviour by my GP. I'm heartbroken to have to look at Private Medical care to just be listened to by a professional. It's so sad.
