Review titled 2nd review

I gave a good review last week as the people I dealt with were good, this week different story, lung infection struggling to breathe, finished antibiotics and it's worse, used to ring and they would extend antibiotics, now you have to ring at 8am book a phone consultation then if doc wants to see you got to wait to book in, by this time antibiotics out of your system and got to start all over again, Bring back the old doctors system, the way it worked for years which helped patients, now it's just people ticking boxes, once they have ticked that box, no follow ups, but want you to review them and nobody takes any notice of your review, the system is a complete failure and costs the country more money, they will text you to ring them No you ring me it takes you 20 seconds to text I have to waste my life on the phone for an hour, I rang up it said number 1 in the queue I was on hold for an hour, no answer, put the phone down and called back asked for a return call and they rang straight away, what a rubbish system, these new managers running surgeries think saving money is more important than our lives, stupid thing is to get a phone consultation then see a doctor costs more than just seeing a doctor, the world and the people have gone mad. And you can't review individuals which is a fair way of doing it, last week I dealt with 2. People who were great on that basis I gave a good review but I at that time had not dealt with anyone else, so the good people are now getting a bad review for the bad people absolutely unfair and ridiculous!!

Review titled Really helpful
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Grant D Webb - Posted on 26 October 2024
Had a few things to deal with, lady on reception was great, everything I asked for she did no stupid questions asked, she was so helpful and dealt with everything professionally unfortunately I did not get her name, 10/10 though could not praise her more!! Saw the urgent care practitioner same day, what a lovely man, so helpful gave me as much time as I needed, went into detail about the problems I have, went above and beyond. Also had to see a Doctor , such a nice man again very helpful, made me feel at ease, very professional. So glad I moved to this surgery, so far they get 10/10 from me, I know its hard to get through on phone and you have to have telephone consultations aswell but I beleive thats government because all doctors are like it since covid!! Great practice thank you!! Only problem I have with this reveiw system is you cant name the people you are praising, the others might not be that good so its unfair!!

Review titled Rude staff
Rated 1 star out of 5

If you can get through on the phone lines the staff are generally rude and dismissive and just want you to get off the phone as quickly as possible, they were incredibly u helpful when I rang to get a prescription and blood results but when my partner went in to try and get them done he had no problem getting them, they also didn’t refer my child when they said that they would I had to ring up to chase it up

Review titled This practice can make your anxiety a lot worse
Rated 1 star out of 5

I saw a lymphoedema nurse on the 3/11/23 who wrote a letter with measurements to doctors. We are now the 28/01/24 and during this month I had a attacking phone call from a member of staff in kemsley chemist. The lady was telling me she was going to tell me her side of the story first and how good she was at ordering lymphoedema compression garments. This was whilst I was trying to boil my vegetables, also I could hear her put the phone down whilst talking to me so then sounded distant and I not young so hard to hear. For my last attempt I approached the chemist on the 24/01/24 and they told me they were ordered. I phoned up Haddenham suppliers who told me the order had just been put in on the 24/01/24 which is a surprise! Hopefully I will get them soon but I cant believe I have been waiting since 3/11/23 whilst walking with one of my socks falling down which was not supporting my lymphoedema. I think people should be more aware of this condition because it is the same as not receiving your tablets on time. The receptionist suggested to my husband I put a bit of elastic round the top of the lymphoedema sock. This is the second year I have had to endure this treatment. Anyone with lymphoedema think twice about joining Grovehurst Surgery Practice. Just to end the the month off nicely I have had all me medicines rejected on the Patient Access site. Happy days everyone!

Review titled You Can Never Get Passed Reception / Get An Appointment
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Karen Diprose - Posted on 21 August 2023
Having visited my doctor and being referred for an ultra sound, my doctor specifically said to me when you get the results make an appointment to see him. Well believe me I have tried, I have called into the practice and asked at reception they don't make appointments you have to call on the day, I explain that it is not an emergency and that I need to see the doctor at his request, still cannot make and appointment. Called by phone yet again to make an appointment to be told I could have a routine telephone conversation on 25 September in excess of a months time. I am not prepared to take a day off work on the off chance I can get an appointment if I call in the morning I work in London I have a busy job and cannot take days off at a drop of a hat. I rarely go to the doctors but when I need to I cannot get an appointment to see anyone. There are an awful lot of receptionist at the surgery and their job appears to be make it as difficult as possible to see a doctor. Perhaps if they employed 2-3 less receptionists and employed another doctor the surgery would be able to provide a better service. To be quite honest for the working person the service provided by Grovehurst Surgery is diabolical.

Dear Ms Diprose Thank you for sharing your recent experience. I apologise for the difficulties you faced in scheduling an appointment following your ultrasound referral. Your feedback is essential in helping us improve our services, and I regret that we did not meet your expectations. I understand the frustration and inconvenience caused by not being able to book an appointment as requested by your doctor. Our goal is to provide timely and efficient care for all our patients, and I am sorry that we have fallen short in this instance. I am currently reviewing our appointment scheduling system to make it more flexible and accessible, especially for non-emergency situations where follow-up appointments are necessary. I am evaluating our staffing levels and considering the best ways to allocate resources to meet patient demand. If you would like to discuss this matter further or if there is anything I can assist with, please do not hesitate to contact me. Kind Regards, Mrs N Howe Practice Manager
