I was awaiting a booking for surgery and due to minor complications that have arisen I needed to find out if the urgency level could be upped. The medical secretary was very helpful and my GP called me back to discuss promptly. I now have a confirmed date with the possibility of an earlier cancellation slot if one arises.

After seeing the doctor I needed to have blood tests and both were dealt with quickly. A telephone appointment was all I needed for the results.

Clinicians treat you as an individual, listen to your concerns and offer practical help. They have always been responsive when concerns were more urgent.

I found that the clinician I saw was very thorough, with careful examination. However, getting an appointment is difficult. The wait for a call to be answered can be over 20 minutes, which is time I cannot spare when I'm working. Appointments can be booked via the Internet, but tend to be a long way in the future, not particularly helpful when you're in pain now.
