  1. Review titled Blood tests

Rated 1 star out of 5

by SJL - Posted on 23 August 2024

Having been in to book a blood test I was given a phone number, I booked the test and went on Friday 23/8/2024. I was told when I went in to have test that he paper work had not been sent. This is the forth or fifth time this has happened. If I go back to the surgery they just blame the computers. Something needs to be updated either the computer system or the staff.

I have had the pleasure of speaking to the social prescriber who has shown me compassion and professionalism during a very difficult time for me. She has given me support and put me in touch with other agencies who can help. She is a truly wonderful person.

  3. Review titled Untrained Receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Vandana - Posted on 02 September 2024

Very Very bad service.I called on Friday for my 12 year daughter to make appointment as she is having a huge hairfall.I am more concerned for my daughter as she had swollen gland behind her ear few weeks ago but it’s gone now.I called 123 times then finally when it got connected I was on 30th number.I was on phone for 1hour 3 mins and when finally got answered, the lady on reception referred me to walkers pharmacy as pharmacy first, in which I knew that they can’t do anything as I am a Pharmacy assistant and I know in pharmacy first what covers and what doesn’t.But anyways I didn’t said anything to her and went there and that’s exactly the pharmacist said that he doesn’t knw why the receptionist referred my daughter here and she needs to be seen by the GP to have some blood tests done which I exactly I knew it.He told me to go down to ask receptionist why didn’t they made appointment with walker’s pharmacy as pharmacy first rather than making appointment with gp.I went down there and there was an old Asian receptionist with glasses on said to me to make an appointment tomorrow.I said it’s Saturday tomorrow then she said make an appointment on Monday or Tuesday then and said thank you to finish the conversation. That receptionist wasn’t helpful at all.I have dealt with her so many times but really Rude behaviour.I am a working mother of two kids.I can’t keep calling surgery every day .I was waiting for my day off on Friday to call and make an appointment but they have wasted my time.I work for NHS aswell and I see my patients with smile and try to solve their problems all the time.I am really disappointed with lack of knowledge receptionists who doesn’t know whom to refer for pharmacy first and whom to refer to Doctors. But if anything is serious, I am going to sue that receptionists.I am really not happy at all😡😡😡😡

  4. Review titled Appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

Having received an email to book a doctors appointment following second blood test have phoned 2 days running and held on for 45 minutes one day and an hour the next only to be told no appointments on the day and no prebookable appointments. Not much point in sending an email to book an appointment if you can't book one other than on the day when you've got no chance unless very very lucky. The nursing staff you can get an appointment with and it's certainly not the fault of the receptionists who must get lots of unhappy patients having a go at them. You could get appointments pre covid so why not now? Not happy with the doctors at all, they are still doing phone appointments a lot of the time rather than face to face what is the matter with them!!! I am also not prepared to get up every day at 7.00am to wait for an hour or more on the phone to be told no appointments for an existing problem.

Unable to get face to face got phone appointment and not at time given 4hours later ,prior since lockdown rubbish service, then certain practitioners suspended , and surgery has never run better doctors even texted emailed checking up, great . It appears suspension lifted and back to old ways. Time to move on.

  7. Review titled Humiliating receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mrs Kaur - Posted on 24 January 2024

I phoned the surgery on the 17th Janruary at 8.45am looking to make an appointment for my husband who had been unwell for over a week despite using over the counter and home remedy medicines. After being in queue my call was taken by a receptionist. After introducing myself and giving my details and informing the receptionist that my husband has "cough and cold" I asked for appointment only to be told non left. I asked if phone appointments available and was told non left either. I asked politely what I can do then. Receptionist said phone an ambulance and put the phone down on me. I have never felt so humiliated before. The 2 doctors I have been seen by before are nice but this receptionist needs a different job. To the duty manager: I am not anonymous, Since all your calls are recorded for training and monitoring service you will be able to identify me and play back my request for appointment on the 17th Janruary 2024 at 08.45, call on hold for 17 minutes, call duration 43 seconds and judge for yourself how polite my call was and actions of your receptionist.

  8. Review titled Massive Improvement

Rated 2 stars out of 5

After 4 years of being unable to see anyone other than nurses or physios I have finally seen a doctor. Called on Tuesday ay 8 am. I was 19 in the queue, doubted i'd get an appoinment. After waiting (only) 10 minutes I spoke with a polite person who said attend at 10 to see a doctor. Arrived at 10 and saw doctor at around 1035. Very understanding interview and prescibed anti biotics and steroids. Excellent experience and how the surgery was before, apparently, becoming over subscribed. Well dont CQC !

I have had a really good experience with the social prescriber. I have found it really helpful in my pregnancy. It is a good service that is offered when you are struggling and is nice to have someone check in to see how you are very couple of weeks.

  10. Review titled Just avoid

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 May 2023

I have been calling for 6 days straight now every morning at 8am to not be able to get through to book an appointment with a gp. When we finally get through its nearly 9am amd you are still 28 in the queue to be told, call tomorrow. You can not pre book an appointment, so the website for the surgery is a lie, no late night bookings, receptionists quite rude. It's so disappointing as used to be a great surgery however don't think the GPS that used to be there are there any more as its always locum doctors that do not know how to treat you, and just say try this when you need for example a blood test. Will be leaving to find a new surgery as just not acceptable anymore
