  1. Review titled Not fit for purpose

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jon Tack - Posted on 20 February 2023

I managed to get an appointment for my wife and saw a locum. He said her problems were too complex and she needed to see her regular doctor. Apparently the surgery has no idea when the regular doctors will be back, and was told you cannot make an appointment to see the senior partner, but must phone at 08:00 only to be answered eventually with “no appointments available, try tomorrow “. Pathetically incompetent

  2. Review titled Poor patient care

Avoid the surgery at all cost if you value your health . Poor patient care . Shocking patient service received . Abnormal blood results never followed up by surgery . No appointments available , in the telephone queue for an hour to be either cut off or told no appointments available .After 23 years we moved to another GP .

  3. Review titled Cannot get appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

After trying 288 (yes you read that right) times I finally got in the telephone queue! Took me 20 minutes to get from 26th to 1st in the queue so at 8.30 I finally spoke to someone who said sorry no appointments left! Please contact NHS 111 I politely informed them that NHS 111 had told me to contact me GP for an appointment today and they said, you will need to go to a walk in centre. They have oversubscribed themselves and have too many patients to deal with and its the patients that are loosing out. Avoid if you can.

  4. Review titled Best social prescriber!!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 December 2022

Social prescriber was brilliant! If I can give zero stars to the practice I would. My experience whilst having a bad fall I required follow up hospital appointments, tests and the whole experience was traumatic and stressful. My experience was the same as what everyone else has written, couldn’t get appointments, despite being told to call at 8am, rude, unhelpful reception and an invisible and unavailable doctor who didn’t care. I am still waiting for my appointments and tests and here we are 8 months later!! Whilst going through an extremely stressful episode, the support I received from my Social Prescriber has been invaluable. She was there, chasing the appointments, a voice to listen to my worries, and despite me going for one appointment the results didn’t come clear so I have to do it again and I’m still waiting for the appointment! I want to say ‘Thank you’ for providing the high level of professionalism, empathy, understanding, consideration and care needed. She has great attention to detail, has been thorough, and always chased things. When i was getting no where, she intervened acted immediately after using her great listening, communication and interpersonal skills. She showed devotion and an unwavering commitment. This helped to alleviate much of the stress that I was under, especially after my traumatic year. The regular telephone calls and call back when I needed it, has been a great support. The level of professionalism is ‘second to none!’. A big ‘Thank you’ to my excellent Social Prescriber. She is an asset to the practice, plugging the gaps of the other useless staff who just keep the seat warm. No doubt she she going above and beyond for other patients. I am so grateful I had her invaluable support, which got me through a difficult time. Thank you !!

  5. Review titled Poor experience consistently

Rated 1 star out of 5

We have had a consistently poor experience trying to get face to face appointments for our two young children. In addition when our youngest 1 year old had a temperature of 40 recently we called to book an appointment. Having not heard anything all afternoon and as it was almost 5pm I drove to the surgery. When I enquired as to progress with getting help from the GP I was told someone had accidentally completed the call and therefore he was not on the urgent list. Incompetent and frustrated are the understatements. We did eventually get a call later but the stress caused it caused is far from ideal. We are also waiting months later for a hearing referral for our eldest son. We will be moving surgery shortly and I would be wary of joining this surgery.
