Review titled Disappointing, again!
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 September 2024
So frustrating I very rarely need to see my GP but on the few time I have it is incredibly difficult. I saw the Pharmacist who advised me to see my Doctor would have been an easier task to win the lottery! Got the usual ring back at 8am the following day, did that and still no appointments available. So annoying the Pharmacist has told me the medication I need but I can get it without seeing a Doctor. Working two jobs makes it difficult to ring and impossible to access health care. Bring back toe good old days when you could actually see a health care professional in a timely manner. Can't even pre book an appointment, health care is becoming a luxury only afforded to a favoured few.

I asked about an appointment this morning and was given one for this afternoon! The DR, Medical Student and Receptionist were all attentive, caring and reassuring.

Review titled Rude receptionist
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Katie - Posted on 17 May 2024
I rang yesterday for some advice about my 1 year old daughters symptoms as she was really poorly, the receptionist was very rude and rushing me like I was wasting her time. She was no help and told me to go to a walk in if I was that worried as they have no appointments for her. I proceeded to call 111 and they wanted to send an ambulance straight out but due to delays I made my own way there and it turned out my daughter had scarlet fever. I am very disgusted with the staff at goodheart surgery as this isn't the first time a receptionist has been very rude, they are no help when it comes to the public and customer service is disgusting. I don't appreciate been talked to like I have no reason to be worried or calling a doctors surgery, especially when it comes to my child health. They clearly need training on how to give good customer service!!

Review titled Disgraceful
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Mrs Marie Dunbar - Posted on 19 June 2023
Husband has really high blood pressure, had 3 visits to docs, took 7 days worth of reads handed them in two weeks later I called because he had not heard anything to be told they could not find them, they found them and said he neeced to go in for medication, he went in (bearing in mind he is only home weekends) and they wanted blood, my husband is petrified of needles so he said no, nurse told him that is all he was in for, husband said no he was told medication, nurse said she is not allowed to prescrib it so he left, I called today to be told will not prescrib without blood texts, again told them he is petried of needles to be told he will not get medication then, really not even try to come up with a solution knowing he is at high risk of a stroke, you are just leaving himwith a ridiculously high blood pressure.

Review titled Rude
Rated 1 star out of 5

The receptionists are on the hole extremely rude and show no compassion when dealing with patients concerns. There answer to everything is dial 111 when you dial 111 they say you should see your GP. The practice has taken on far to many patients for it to manage and give the care that they need you can be waiting weeks to see a nurse never mind a doctor.

The receptionist couldn’t have been more helpful, my wife had severe diarrhoea and she rang me back to let me know the doctor was going to ring me today and he did so within the hour. Thank you

Review titled Disappointing

So frustrating, Reception Manager took details of child's illness told us to go to Walk in Centre, which we did and waited for 6 hours only to be told need to see own GP! The manager said that she would ring us back but didn't, and when we rang told to go to A&E or Walk in but this was inappropriate for illness. Checked with Pharmacist again advised to see GP but no appointments available. I understand that there are pressures on the NHS but so sad that child cannot access healthcare when needed.

No chance to see the doctor at all. Only phone appointment... How doctor can diagnose over the phone??? Especially if you tell that need to see the doctor to check your lungs. I have been waiting all day for a phone call at the end doctor never rang.... Receptionist pass message from the doctor: if you need to see the doctor please call 111. How this system can work ???
