Review titled Do not register here!!!
Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been waiting for my medical forms for 3 months now. However I have received nothing. I have been chasing almost daily and have been told the appropriate person would be in the next day. However they never are. I have also asked for notes to be left for this person, but I am yet to receive any reply. The reception staff are unhelpful and useless. Just look at the lack of any review over 1 star on this page, and it tells you all you need to know. A waste of public money and should be shut down.

As far as I can determine this patient has not identified what he means by medical forms and no reception staff have any record or perception of this. We try to accommodate patient needs effectively but I suspect this is concerning a private insurance claim which go directly to the company and not to the patient unless they have requested to see them. Inany case if the patient requests the Practice manager to contact them then this is tasked directly to them, to me. I deal with these issues personally and immediatly and te surgery and myself are up to date dealing with private insurance requests.

Review titled Extremely disappointing and unfriendly practice
by Olivia - Posted on 09 August 2024
As a mum of a 4 month old baby and a 2.5 year old I have very little time to leave a review but given the lack of care I have recently received from our GP surgery, I felt compelled to do so before moving surgery. My newborn son was recently sick on the reception floor leaving him and I in tears and the receptionist (not on the phone) made zero response or comment or offer of help. When I then asked for tissues to wipe up the floor, while holding my son, she offered zero help and simply plonked the tissues on the desk, without even making eye contact. I appreciate everyone can be busy or having a bad day but as a crying new mum in a GP waiting room, she could have intervened on what may have been a mental health case or serious issue. Thankfully in our situation it is not. Secondly, the GP who we have seen for many years now on multiple occasions with my daughter and for myself introduced himself when I walked into the room and proceeded to ask me if this was my first child (!). Surely my notes were there on the computer even if he couldn't remember my face - which you would like to think your GP would. Furthermore, I was not asked what method of delivery I went through for the birth which surely was needed to be checked as to whether a pysical exam was then required. The nurse who does the baby jabs is amazing and we are sad to feel the need to leave because of the care she gives but I was so dismayed by the recent lack of service, surely it's going to be better elsewhere.

Review titled Receptionist bedside manner non existent

Incredible disappointing service. You only ever call a GP's surgery if you have tried every other avenue and have nowhere else to turn. I feel beyond let down and very low. I thought GP practices were about helping people in their hour of need. It's the opposite at this practice.

Good luck getting an appointment. It's like a lottery system. You need at call at 8am and if you're lucky you get an appointment, if not, try again the next day. Sometimes you can try call at 8:05am and all appointment slots are booked out. It's crazy.

Realistically, you are quite right. As with most Practices, demand far outstrips our ability to accommodate it. Present rules mean that we book patients to see a doctor as soon as we can, but demand makes it sometimes a couple of weeks before we can get a patient seen. Each day, however, we have four consultation slots that are designated 'on the day'. Unhappily, these go within minutes as soon as we open, so once again, you are correct. The idea if it is urgent is indeed to call back the next day when we are faced by the very same situation. I am so sorry you feel it was poor service. We do try our best, and we have a great telephone system, but as calls are taken by one receptionist, it is such a small surgery; whatever we try, and we try many different things, it is impossible to accommodate the sheer volume of calls we get.
