I went to attend a routine cervical screening here this morning and the nurse who I saw was so friendly, reassuring and informative! An absolute credit to the profession.

Felt as though I was talking to a brick wall. Wasn't given a sick note. Wasn't even given any medication ! Then told I had to leave due to other patients needing to be seen. I waited anxiously for 2 weeks for the appointment. Might aswell of talked to pigeons in the park

  3. Review titled Poor reception attitude

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I attended gaywood surgery and tried to explain to the receptionist why i was there. The receptionist..in a harsh manner said let me speak. This was so rude they should listen to the patients then give advise..not demand saying let me speak..this is bad customer care.

  4. Review titled Good experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I received a call from the surgery within a couple of days of submitting an online form. An appointment was made for less than a week from the call. Reception were friendly, and I was seen on time. While I must not name the doctor as per the rules of the review process, I was seen by a very professional and friendly doctor. I went seeking care that is perhaps not typical for my demographic, and I was treated with care and respect. I have been forwarded on to the necessary specialist. I want to thank the doctor for their time and kindness.

  5. Review titled Very poor experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

I think this GP surgery must be completely overwhelmed. It is difficult to request an appointment as you have to complete an e-consult form between 08:30 and 11:00 Monday to Friday, you cannot ring to make an appointment (or so I was told when I tried). For someone who works in a busy job 08:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday, this is extremely unhelpful. The form only has limited options and so you sometimes have to choose one that doesn't really fit with what you want to discuss which is annoying. Once you submit the form, which takes about 10 minutes to complete, it then takes 3 to 4 days for an appointment to be sent to you and one of the texts I received didn't say whether it was a face to face or telephone appointment so I had to ring to check and it took 40 minutes to get through. I'm not sure who it is that decides what appointment you get based on the answers you give on the e-consult form but I was inappropriately booked to see a mental health nurse who told me I definitely should have been booked to see the GP, not a mental health nurse. One of my face to face GP appointments was booked for 9am but I had to sit in the waiting room until 09:45 until I was called in. Then when I did see the GP they were extremely rushed and talking and examining me very fast. I recently requested a very urgent appointment which took 2 weeks to be booked, I then had to cancel it due to work training commitments and I asked for it to be rebooked but it never was, and so weeks later I had to submit another e-consult form requesting another appointment which took a further 2 weeks to be booked. It's just awful and I feel for the staff because I expect they are completely overwhelmed and maybe they are having to prioritise children and the elderly. I am now moving to a different area and so will be registering with a different GP surgery. I can only hope it's better.
