    I rang up on Friday 3 rd May to ask about medication I was prescribed . The receptionist told me my medication had not been done as it was prescribed by oncologist at hospital and the practice did not know the dose . Whilst on the call the receptionist kept giggling , I could hear other staff giggling too. i asked her what she was laughing about and she said another member of staff had drawn a funny picture on a latex glove . I continued to talk about my cancer and said drug , she promised to look into it for me and to call on Tuesday as Monday 6th was a bank holiday . I called in on Tuesday to check and there was no recollection of my conservation with receptionist , nor had she asked a GP about my medication , no evidence whatsoever ! I have rang hospital myself to sort it. Most unprofessional for a member of staff to be laughing whilst on the phone . Just rang up now to see if medication done …. Been in queue position 7 for 40mins!!!! Given up! How can you be in queue position 7 for 40 minutes!!! Did call back instead . The communication is so poor at this surgery .

    Went to the practice this morning at 09.10 was giving an appointment for 09.50 Much better than phoning at 8 am and not being able to get through very satisfied patient xxx

    Needed an appointment for my 4 week old daughter. Was number 6 in the queue for 25 mins from 8am to then be number 1 for 30 mins with no answer for a full hour. Currently having to ring 111 and put more pressure on the system. I don’t understand why they’re not answering.

    I agree with all of the previous reviewers. I visited the Gateacre surgery 15.11.22 to book an a review appointment for an ongoing problem. Told a “message” would be sent to person who would consider my need (!?) and they would get back to me. Never did. Just another time in a long line of occasions when this has happened. Continually fail to keep you informed of progress. Another example being when I turned up for a face to face appointment in July and although successfully signing in after half an hour I had to ask reception and was told the nurse practitioner I was due to see wasn’t even in the surgery. A dreadful, uncaring, unprofessional practise that needs to be in special measures. I’m so concerned by not getting proper treatment that I’m having to move elsewhere.
