    Filling in the electronic form is a pain -- but, with that done, I was contacted within the hour by a helpful and friendly receptionist, and within 2 hours by a no less helpful and friendly practice nurse. Maybe the speed of delivery was due to the symptoms I detailed, but no complaints from me today.

    Yet again today I was unable to request an appointment for a medication review. The online form is 'full' and cannot be used (the same everyday this week). When I phone the practice, they say this is the only way to request an appointment - so effectively I'm being turned away. If I run out of medication, that's my problem not theirs apparently. The practice needs a massive overhaul of its patient access systems. Its simply not reasonable to insist that people use an online form that is never available.

    I am going to run out of my prescription medicine in few days. I tried to use eConsult for so many days already and each time the screen shows capacity has been reached! I do not know what to do and this is very stressful.

    The Doctor was very cautious. The Doctor made recommendations and gave advice as to what should be done in a step by step process. This was done in a timely manner and in accordance to my wishes.

    Once again, very prompt responses - after various tests/antibiotics, an Ultrasound was arranged quickly for Sunday 16 June. I received a phone call from the surgery at 730am the following day to discuss results, then was given an in-Surgery appointment 8:30 the day after...medication ready two days later....(Some kind of record, perhaps?) In addition, the duty Doctors went the second mile: in dealing with Issue A, they offered to deal with related Issues B and C - asking me nicely if I'd like that (yes, Please! was my answer.) Previous referrals to Guys orthotics were also dealt with speedily and Guys also have the second mile for everything. All of this compensates for the occasional thought that occurs... should I go and live in the country? Hmmm....not really.

    I went to the patient participation group meeting on fifth May and was pleasantly surprised by how open the practice is to patient feedback. Helped break down an Us v Them Atmosphere that other communication channels had created. It was informative to understand the limitations that the practice have to comply with and which limit their ability to communicate as freely as they want with patients. Very worthwhile use of my time.

    : I'm in chronic pain, 2 slipped discs, with nerve damage. Three times I phoned to request more Hydrocodeine, Pregabalin, as it's 7 days supply (Hydrocodeine) and the doctor sent it to the pharmacy same day. I asked yesterday, and the duty manager said my prescription will available that day, I went to the pharmacy and it wasn't there. I phoned again the receptionist said I had to come in to ask for my prescription. for no reason other then it's policy. They didn't want Id passport driving license, anything. other then just to come in. that policy has to change. (please tell me the reason for that if its not ID) I phoned again and explained that unless they send the prescription today I won't have my painkillers until the following tuesday as it's friday today. So I will be in extra pain for the next three days. The receptionist kept repeating the policy (that she can't do anything to help) I asked for the manager, she said they were in a meeting but a mananger would call me back. No one phoned. I phoned back she said the managers had gone home. Then I asked could she ask a doctor to phone me she said she couldn't do that and said I have to use econsult. esconsult has reached capacity. This whole thing has wasted everyones time and has left me without my medication. And now what ?? I have to phone NHS 111 is that it? It makes no sense. This has to stop!

    Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback - We spoke to you a few times regarding you medication - FHRGP cannot take any medication requests over the phone as we need it in writing from the patient for data purposes, this can be done via accurx online, we also accept requests submitted by pharmacies. you will need to discuss directly with your pharmacy to confirm whether this is a service they offer. The turnaround period to request any medication is 2 working days, but we recommend requesting 4-7 days before your medication runs out.     Many thanks for identifying the recurrence of PMR yesterday and getting a prescription to the Pharmacy on the same day. I don't like to think what the outcome might have been for me last night without the Predisalone

    I called the surgery at 8am, I was caller number 9. When I finally spoke to someone I was told had to go to the old Dulwich hospital center. The staff were not helpful at all. Every time I call the surgery I have to build myself up for disappointment. I wouldn't recommend the surgery to any one they tell you that you can't see a doctor because the duty doctor is booked. So they send you to another clinic. Staff are not very helpful. Why have a doctors surgery if you can't see a doctor.

    Yesterday I filled in a 'bad experience' review about this practice admin. Today, when I contacted them, it was how it should be (and was.) The phone was answered after a short wait. The receptionist was welcoming and courteous, and organised both my requests promptly. I was then contacted by phone by a doctor, and I was very satisfied by the outcome. Well done fhrgp. ( My husband and I patients since 1984)
