To appropriately manage our resources, patients are informed by letter of the possibility of removal at each failure to attend appointments. In this case the process was followed. Patients are directed to the possible ways to cancel appointments, this can be via the telephone, in the appointment text reminder sent the day before the scheduled appointment and via the NHS App. To maintain fairness and equality, we follow the practice policy and patients are advised of removal in the final letter they will be removed from the practice and are giving 30 days notice to register with a new practice.

  2. Review titled Takes a long time for simple things to be done

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I left a form to fill in for cica back in November which to my knowledge still hasn't been filled in.When I phone to find out if its been done,I'm etc with its a private issue not an NHS one even though it asks for NHS details about myself. This doesn't help me and that form has a dead line and I'm always met with that excuse and also ill flag it as urgent, after 3 months isn't really done urgently. All i needed doing was this form filling in and sent off to the criminal injuries people .its not hard.yet it's taken/tacking far to much time

Many thanks for your comment. All non-NHS paperwork was paused during the pandemic response in line with the National guidance from the British Medical Association and the Royal College of General Practice. This has generated a significant backlog of non-NHS paperwork at the practice. The Fishergate Hill Surgery are very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. We are working on longer term solutions to address the requested reports backlog however, in the short term the practice cannot provide a time frame or guarantee a completion of a report for a deadline currently for any NHS paperwork.
