Review titled Impossible to get an appointment
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 December 2022
It is impossible to get an appointment. Even if you get through the archaic appointment system, you will be told the practice only takes appointments for medical emergencies, children and the elderly. I was told to go to an urgent care centre (Manchester Royal Infirmary) for what should be a routine appointment.

Review titled Appointment system is diabolical.
Rated 1 star out of 5

Can't get an appointment. I just spent forty five minutes repeatedly dialling in to get an engaged tone each time and have now given up. This happens every time. The appointment system is ludicrous, can only book on the day from 8am to then be told there are none left by the time somebody answers and told to try again the next day. This does not work if you have a job, but they refuse to even contemplate this. I haven't managed to get an appointment in over 5 years so wait and see if things get bad enough and if so end up using the out of hours gp service elsewhere or go to hospital. Completely pointless gp surgery. They find the time to send text messages for vaccinations though. Their one good point is that they usually find time for children.

Review titled Very poor service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Monika - Posted on 04 November 2022
The medical service at this practice is unavailable for people who work. There is no possibility to book an appointment in advance and plan day off when you need review in long term medical problems. I called four days in the row and I could not get an appointment as my problem is not urgent, but I still have to call back again next morning which are my working hours and I am not able to do it when I am at work. At the time of my break all appointments are already taken. I ran out of medication and I had to stop my treatment what of course is not beneficial for my health. I am very upset about how I am treated in this practice.

Review titled Constant background noise on the phone lines
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Every time I call to book an appointment, which I have to do regularly to book a routine appointment with the nurse, it takes a ridiculous amount of time to get through the spiel at the start of the message. Then once I do get through, all you can hear is the staff in the office talking about their latest holidays and what items they have bought. I recognise that the teams must be busy, but it doesn't appear so when this is what you can hear every time. I recognise people deserve a break and to talk in work, but it's not professional when you can hear the items someone has bought for their holiday and the different colours they have!
