  1. Review titled Such understanding

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 October 2024

I came into the surgery very over whelmed. The Receptionist could see I needed support and sat with me and calmed me down, she understood what had happened and was able to offer me advice and support with my matter. She made me feel very at ease and not rushed. I was listened to throughout and went away happy with the outcome.

  2. Review titled Now dreadful

Rated 2 stars out of 5

What was once a great practice but has gone downhill in the last few years. Difficult to get an appointment either in person, online or on the phone. There are often no appointments available, despite trying. Some receptionist have no empathy at all. It's no wonder Watford Hospital is always rammed with people for minor ailments. On the positive side, I had a diabetic review with Nurse jf and it was an excellent experience. There was enough time to talk through my health concerns. Nurse jf is a credit to Everest House Surgery. Do not let her leave!!! Just fix the appointment system! Soon!

  3. Review titled Big thanks

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alan Batchelor - Posted on 07 October 2024

Thankyou to the team for getting me seen as an emergency. Had to call on the 2nd week and they got me in to see the triage paramedic (who was very thorough and professional) he put me on a 2nd course of antibiotics and puffer. All cleared up now, thank you.

  5. Review titled Great Paramedic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I saw the paramedic and he was brilliant. Had me all sorted and even helped me with stuff on my notes that I wasn't expecting to be looked at. He really took good care of me

  6. Review titled Patient care has sadly declined off a cliff edge

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 November 2024

This used to be an excellent practice. However, this has changed within the last year. Patients can no longer book appointments without being triaged. There is a distinct lack of follow up care, and trying to get to speak to anyone to assist is almost impossible. We couldn’t make an appointment, we couldn’t get a home visit for annual flu or covid vaccinations. We can’t get the GP to follow up from a cardiologist appointment. We struggle to get through on the phone. Try throwing an elderly patient who is hard of hearing and slightly confused into the mix and you end up with utter confusion. As a family member supporting someone elderly you need to have your wits about you and be an advocate for your elderly relative otherwise care falls by the wayside and even something like annual vaccinations do not get covered. We appreciate that times might be harder, but this used to be a good & caring practice, we’re not sure why standards have slipped. Perhaps it’s a change of management, but it now feels like a real challenge to get the care that is needed. There are pockets of greatness still with the nurses and GP’s (when you’re lucky to get through the obstacles to see one). There are two carers supporting our elderly relative and we both feel this way as does our elderly relative who just rolls her eyes and says ‘they don’t care anymore’. Such a shame.

  7. Review titled Great care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 October 2024

My 4 month old son was experiencing discomfort to his skin and scalp. The doctors listened to the symptoms he was experiencing, diagnosed and started the treatment. What impressed me the most was the aftercare and continuous reviews until I was comfortable with the results. I would definitely recommend the surgery.

  8. Review titled Appointment with onside paramedic

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Isla Purdy - Posted on 11 October 2024

Today, on 11.10.2024, I had an appointment with the onsite paramedic. He was lovely and friendly. Really helpful and listened to what I had to say. I never felt rushed or like my comments were invalid. Left the appointment very satisfied.

I had my cervical smear and the nurse I had was so comforting and She reassured me a lot and made sure I was happy before we went ahead. This definitely made the experience feel a lot easier.

Saw the paramedic today with my disabled child, he was very caring and interested in what my son can do and how he communicates, this puts my mind at ease!
