Review titled Well-Experienced Chief Doctor and hospitable staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jothi - Posted on 01 October 2024
I could not book appointment online, and I sent a triage note, further to which I received a call, followed by an emergency appointment with the doctor. The doctor listens to the patient, understands their concerns and recommends the best advice and recommendations. I am very grateful for the timely medical advice, support and treatment recommendations I received.

Review titled Ineffecient

Not received blood test results from over 3 weeks ago.Chased it up to be given wrong information. Called for results and informed that as it was from out of hours they couldn't access the results. My daughter had a test on the same day and her results haven't arrived either! The surgery policy is that you have to ring at a specific time - when most people are working and the staff can't make outgoing calls! The receptionist always have no clue an dhave to pass everything onto their managers who are never on duty. A surgery that plays with people's health! Changing practice ASAP

Dear patient, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry your experience with our practice on this occasion has been less than satisfactory. Blood test results can only be provided to patients if the hospital/medical facility where you took the blood test send us the result. Their response times are unfortunately out of our control. Patients are told to call back if the response requires clinical oversight for which the reception staff are not qualified and in order to provide you with the appropriate answer our staff can only speak to the doctor when he is not in the clinic with other patients. Whilst we understand your frustration, this policy has been put in place for patient safety as well as data protection as the reception staff should only have access to medical records on a need to know basis. Managers, whilst they can access your medical records, need authorisation from the doctor before they can give you the information you require which is why you are asked to call back. Thank you for your understanding of the policies put in place and once again apologies you had a bad experience. If you would like a further conversation please feel free to arrange a meeting with myself. Jessie Tooray, Practice Manager Plashet Harmony Practice
