Review titled Impossible to get an appointment
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 October 2024
E Consult is telling me to call my Gp. When I call my Gp I am told no appointments today call back tomorrow. I have been going in circles for 3 weeks without any success. How am I supposed to get a Referral to the JR to resolve my Knee issue?

Review titled Excellent care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lorna Milton (L.M.) - Posted on 25 August 2024
Over the past weeks/months, I’ve had several health issues, and my doctor has worked hard to find solutions to my problems and has referred me to various professionals, within the NHS. It can’t be easy when a single patient has several information documents sent through from clinicians working in different departments. But my lovely GP always acts on data, advice and comments when appropriate. For example, over the next few weeks I have appointments with a dermatologist, gynaecologist, physiotherapist, an osteopath and Upper Gastrointestinal specialist. Am I a GPs nightmare patient? Maybe but I feel truly blessed by the care and support I’ve had and can’t praise the team enough. Due to lack of staff, there must be glitches occasionally, but the workforce at The Health Centre work hard to deal with us all, and they’re pleasant and easy to approach. Thank you all so much.

Review titled Great Doctor
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by June Little - Posted on 15 August 2024
When my doctor joined Didcot Health Centre I became one of her patients. I always find her to be kind and caring. She listens intently to what I say and her reply is always calm, clear and concise. My doctor always treats me with respect and I feel I can talk to her freely and she supports me in resolving my medical ailments. She is a fantastic GP whom Didcot Health Centre are lucky to have.

Review titled Prescription Request
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by KMS - Posted on 12 April 2024
Due to my prescription of not being on repeat as it is seldom used, (thankfully!!), was unable to order a repeat via the app, so had to visit the surgery to ask how to get a repeat and save an e-consult for those that need it. The care navigator on reception took my details and entered the request on emis straight away and said the request would be sorted over the next 2 working days and sent to my requested pharmacy. They even took the time to confirm my allocated pharmacy was correct. Very helpful and efficient. Only negative feedback for this sort of request due to the nature of the drug required, it drops off the repeat list after a year. Due to the lack of e-consults available I did not want to take a medical slot or waste a phone call as there are so few slots at this surgery despite the large population. I also noted that e-consult is often closed in under 5 minutes of opening due to volume. Can you increase the number of slots or are the surgery considering moving to a Total Triage system used by others in the area which would help all. Again, many thanks to the care navigator on reception for their help and efficient dealing with this.

Review titled Disappointing
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 30 October 2023
Monday: Tried to call to speak to GP or make an appointment when phone lines open from 8am - rang constantly on dial back still trying at 09:15. Gave up as I felt too unwell to keep trying. This is not an unusual occurrence with this surgery but is the worst experience so far.

Review titled Excellent
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have recently had a health scare. Receptionists were brilliant and advised me to use e consult. GP called me within 24hrs, was very thorough and I felt my concerns taken seriously and acted on appropriately and swiftly. Thankyou team. You are all under enormous pressures and I very much valued recent care.

Review titled Impossible to find worst customer service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 February 2023
Their on-line appointment page constantly changes. It's hard to know where you can book a GP appointment. They don't answer the phone (COVID cannot be a justification anymore). The only page I found for online appointment says from 6 pm to 9 pm Sunday to Thursday. I tried to book on Wednesday at 18:10 and it says, it is only open from 6 to 9 pm from Sunday to Thursday, try again tomorrow :(

Review titled Poor Service, don't keep track of patients issues
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Pablo - Posted on 21 March 2023
I raised a concern about a bacteria that my partner caught and requested a test for myself. This was in January, got the tests, sent them back and never heard a word since. I called the doctor again in February and asked them to find what is going on and why no one knows anything about the results. She didn't even know which company sent those tests and blamed the royal mail for the delays... Today 21st March, no one has contacted me for the results. There's nothing in the NHS app regarding the results either. This shows how little they care about you! Very disappointing!
