    I just wanted to say the practice is definitely getting better.I spoke to Dr about something last week and i now have medication for which is starting to work already.Dr was brilliant,she called me and really listened and explained everything.Also reception are good,i've never had any problems anyway so they deserve a mention for what can be a hard job ,well done all.

    I very recently joined Deerness Park Medical Group and had to raise a routine appointment regarding a nasal issue, I submitted an E-consultation forum by their website which asks approx 20 questions and with the opportunity for an email copy which is always useful! The doctor contacted me within approx 2-3 hours (I wish I could name him as he was fantastic!). Actually took the time to listen to me and came to a solid conclusion for medical treatment. He even went the extra steps and explained why this has happened, what happens next, and a review in X amount of time. Never been more happy moving to this doctors, fantastic service! you deserve all the praise :) many thanks

    What a waste of time. Phoned this morning at 8am 6th in que all fine got to receptionist. Was told I need to book a e consult so she sent a link to fill form in. Filled form in the response was that it couldnt give me a accurate diagnosis based on my description. So it said phone for appt or fone 111. So phoned surgery still cant book an appointment until doc triages my problem. So no further forward really as waiting for dr to call

    Did a econsult over the phone, receptionist very helpful. However Dr has booked me an appt for nxt fri 12th. I need help now not nxt week. What honestly is the point?

  5. Review titled Doctor refuses treatment. overworked staff

    Did E consult at 8am, the system stopped midway and told me that urgent medical treatment required contact surgery for urgent appointment that day. Phoned doctors told it would be sent for urgent triage. I was called back over 1 hours later by receptionist to say doctor says he'll give me a telephone appointment next week!!!!!! Asked for him to recheck as e-consult said different, he then refused to speak to or see me and told the receptionist to ring back and give me the offered telephone appointment in 1 weeks time. Prescription requests are not being actioned within the timeframe given by receptionists and messages are not being passed to doctors. never really had any issue with appointments at this surgery until this e-consult started, now things have gone from bad to worse. A receptionist told me last week she leaves work in tears most days due to workload and complaints.

    My Phone call lasted 58 minutes 35 minutes of which I was No1 in the queue, and 55 minutes before actually speaking to anyone. Not a good experience to have to endure.

    Very good! I was thoroughly checked out. Thought I might be given antibiotics that but happy to accept I didn't actually need them. I was given advice on how to self treat which has helped.

    In regards to the new system I want to express how convenient and fast the new system is. I'm sure it's taken a lot of effort and getting used to by staff and is very new to patients but for its early days it seems to be working brilliantly. I feel I'm able to give a lot more information about a problem I may be experiencing and the list of questions makes sure I don't miss or forget anything which ultimately leads to a better diagnosis and next step care. I appreciate the effort the surgery and staff have taken to introduce this system so all patients can experience the best quality care. Of course the new system will take some getting used to for everyone but I can see it is a brilliant update that once utilised to its full potential by patients will save a lot of time and result in best care.

    Supposed to be now imprived for 2023 and its worse...impossible to get an appointment and they are taking new patients on..something doesnt add up..shambles from top to bottom .book using our new easy to fill in online ...i tried and its a nightmare and i'm computer savvy .

    We now offer various routes into the practice to access an appointment- you can fill out the econsult direct from our website, using the NHS App or we can send you a link via text message-you can do this from 07:00am. You can also call the practice and one of the team will take the request from you between the hours of 08:00am and 12:00pm. All patients are then triaged by the GP on duty who deems the urgency of the appointment- same day, next day, following week. No patient will wait longer than 2 weeks for an appointment. We hope you have saw recent improvements, please contact us if you would like to discuss any outstanding concerns.

    Can't get an appt for love nor money, on hold 2 days in a row from 8am for 40 mins each time only to be told there's no appts left. The daily system is a disgrace. Nothing is triaged and everything is first come first served. It's quite infuriating that the other reviews left from years back all say the same thing, yet nothing has changed. Trying to get an appointment is harder than getting out of Fort knox! From a fellow healthcare professionals perspective.....this service is unacceptable and wouldn't recommend to anyone. Basically if your unwell, just put up with it....unless it's life threatening. Looking for another surgery.
