Review titled Rude/Unhelpful Receptionist
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Madeline Mendy - Posted on 26 July 2024
I am diabetic I went to see my pharmacist a lovely lady for my diabetes review last month but due to my blood results. She started me with a new medication . she told me to phone and leave a message in case of any problems with the new medication. I did tell her I always have problems with the receptionist's when ever I want to leave a message as I have previous experience I was asked to leave a message by a doctor the receptionist wouldn't. Leave a message for me in the system So this happened again today 26/7/2024 . I phoned the receptionist to leave a message this rude receptionist after I explained to her my reasons of phoning she responded that the pharmacist is not available till next week I said to her it's fine . Just leave a message for her in the system when she is back she will pick it up that I have phoned per discussion during my last visit She then rude receptionist then say what is regarding ? I replied it's in connection with the new medication she started me on. I want to give her the feedback as promised during my visit. She then rude receptionist replied back I am not going to leave a message on the system you have to phone back on Monday early morning and make an appointment . I did replied to her I don't need an appointment during my visit the pharmacist told me leave a message for me any problem or feedback because it's a new medication I want to know how it gone with you very nice and helpful pharmacist.I did told her I always have this problem with the receptionist they don't want adding notes for the doctors for their patients and it happened again today 26/7/24 I love Crosby house I recommend it to all my family and friends in Slough because they are the best. My 2 Doctors save my life when I caught septicaemia. The whole team are lovely my pharmacist who I saw is lovely my nurse is caring but some of the receptionists like one I have spoken today 26/7/2024 is rude, uncaring and they are the first point of contact . when you are sick you don't need someone to be rude and uncaring were is the patient customer service gone ?? the extra mile caring and helpful??. Why would I book for appointment for just leaving a message for the health professional to pick up and give me a call back at his or her free moment because it's not emergency so that the phone lines are less busy for those who need it most for emergency??

Review titled Worse practice in slough

Receptionists are so rude, they have the worse attitude and they are so dismissive. I called due to a concern relating my daughter, the receptionist stated that my concern is not urgent and I do not need a doctors appointment or phone call. Whilst in the middle of asking her a question she then hangs up the phone on me. I am extremely disappointed that this behaviour from these receptionists has been an ongoing situation, this is not the first time that these receptionists are treating me like this each time I call them on any concerns or health issues. They have no professionalism and they seriously need to work on the way they speak to patients. This surgery has no place to stay open because clearly receptionists are the once running this place and they purposely try and be unhelpful each time there is any sort of concern or when you want to speak to a doctor.

The trouble with 'Crosby House Surgery 'it is run by the receptionist for the receptionist ,patients don't matter . I was contacted for a blood test to be done ,asked why it was late (as I should have them every 3 months )told in no uncertain terms if I didn't have the blood test ,the doctor will refuse any more perscription until I agree to have one ,that wasn't the problem of not agreeing just asked why is it 6 weeks late in contacting me for the test being having blood test on a regular basis for 35 years due to my condition . Just for the record been a patient for 70 years (and as a family over 8o years ) use to be a good practice prior to the covid ,the receptionist then were very good easy to book appointments over the phone or in person , now not so sure seems they have more patients than they can handle ,patients are farmed of to other practices then being seen at Crosby House due to the TRIAGE SET UP

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with our service. Unfortunately, we can not always accommodate all of our patients who require appointments in the surgery. This is why we have overflow services to accommodate those that we can't see here. We apologise if this is not meeting your expectations. Due to high demands on the service, we look at ways to ensure everyone gets seen that needs to be seen, but it will not always be at the surgery. Many Thanks, Debbie Penrose Practice Manager

Review titled Rude staff
by marspr86 - Posted on 16 December 2022
Crosby house surgery. It took 3 months to get critical medicine that was on repeat. You can’t even make this stuff up. The receptionists are quick to try and triage you and send you off to other services when they are not medically trained but when you ask them a practical question about their surgery they don’t know the answer and say they are just the receptionist. I found the staff rude and the doctors incompetent - not sure what more I can say.
