  1. Review titled Bad experience

Rated 2 stars out of 5

    by Dbz1tf - Posted on 21 August 2024

Last Friday, I went to see a locum GP at this practice for my fungal nail infection, on my foot. Before, I went - the reception staff were told the reason for the appointment was podiatry. The doctor, that saw me paid no attention whatsoever to my foot! Instead, he examined my leg and lower back muscles. It doesn't make any sense. He didn't send a referral to podiatry, or prescribe any anti-fungal meds. Nothing. I don't think he's a very good doctor. His mannerism wasn't empathic, rather brusque and harsh. My usual doctor, wasn't available - so unfortunately, I had to see this gentleman. But, I don't think I will book an appointment with him again - he isn't very good.

  2. Review titled It won't hurt your professionalism to smile to your patients

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 May 2024

Attended a face to face appointment with the doctor. Did not even smile during the appointment, she had never met me, first time meeting a patient you have been speaking to on the telephone and no smile or anything to make the patient comfortable. Did not even look up at me once during the initial consultation, continued to write notes, only until examining me. It really does not hurt to smile and won't kill your professionalism to be polite and courteous to your patients and make them feel more at ease and that you care. When even broaching about a symptom which I felt was connected to the reason I booked the appointment, I was told sorry you need to book another appointment. One problem per appointment is absolutely outdated and a good healthcare professional would explore all associated symptoms to prevent patients' having to come back again and therefore, increasing access and availability for other patients. Really rude and won't be seeing her again.

  3. Review titled Utterly shocking/ insensitive surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Emine evangelou - Posted on 29 May 2024

I am so disappointed and upset with the constant service with this care provider. A few years ago it was brilliant. Staff and drs were kind, sensitive and helpful. Today was the final straw. After I called exactly at 8am I was put through to an aggressive receptionist. I explained my 2 year old has a fever of 39.5 and my other child (5) was diagnosed with scarlet fever over bank holiday from a dr on 111 call. ( fantastic service from 111- called in less then 2 hours accessed my son and prescribed antibiotics. He followed on to ask about my other children and should they develop symptoms to call my gp urgently. Fast forward today… The rude aggressive receptionist told me “well you need to pick with child you need to see because dr can’t see both, so pick!” That took my breath away my husband heard this and I was shocked. I said it’s just for more antibiotics etc she said doesn’t matter that I had to pick between the two children. I said my 2 year old has a temperature and isn’t well. She followed on with a rude cold attitude and said I’d get a call back at some point later today. With my pervious experiences I’ve had waiting all day to never be called back I was not convinced. I’ve had multiple calls to 111 and they said the dr at the surgery needs to call me within the hour -8 hours later still nothing! Called the gp surgery to ask if what time roughly to expect a call. She was also not helpful but less rude. There is only one GP in that surgery obviously they don’t have the staff and they have too many patients but rudeness and insensitivity shouldn’t be tolerated. They have signs on the front of their reception but they fail patient care on our side and are awful to deal with. I can never understand people that are so rude and aggressive- why work with public?! The whole surgery is dated and should be shut down and completely replaced by people who care about humanity. I would hate to hear others going through what I’ve been through. My list is endless and negative I can’t even think of one positive about this surgery. Such a shame as it used to be great! I’ve now removed myself from this shambles of a GP surgery- I would never recommend

Dear Mrs Evangelou Many thanks for writing to us. Patients feedback is important in improving our services. I am sorry that you were not happy with our service(s) on this occasion. We have gone through your comments and then looked into this particular incident. We investigated into the issue by listening to the telephone recordings and speaking to concerned staff member. These were our findings as below: We did not find our colleague to be rude over the telephone during any part of the telephone call received; she listened to your concerns and then provided you with the advice. She gave you two options; either to call 111 or to speak to a GP from practice. She also informed you that we are short of appointments and the fact that GP will call you at some point on that day. After this mutual agreement the call was closed as normal. Please note at our practice we do not specify a precise time for a clinician to contact patients. If 111 service mentions that a clinician will call you within one hour it is not our policy). We have got recording of the call in case you would like to listen to it. We sincerely hope that this will clarify the above matter. Should you require any other information, please do not hesitate to write to us via email address e82079.cromwellmedicalcentre@nhs.net. If you prefer to speak with me, please dial 01992624732 and ask for practice manager. Yours sincerely Faisal Ijaz (Mr) Practice Manager

  4. Review titled Never coming back to see a doctor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 January 2024

Lovely receptionist. Alway friendly and makenyou feel welcome. The doctor I just seen however obviously didn't have the course on customer service. It was absolutely disgusting going to see this particular doctor today. First of all I walked into the room. She didn't even say hi she just gave me horrible stare. Then when telling her about my skin rashes on my hands. She just said it down to cold weather. She obviously hasn't check my records to see I suffered with psoriasis on my scalp. And I have a family history of other skin condition. So I feel like I might aswell not bother going to the appointment. It lasted all of two minutes if that. No compassion or any help from her at all. Advice was to put cream on, when I said I feel like cream suffocates my skin. And makes it wrost. She the suggested to put olive oil on. She completely put me off ever going to the GPS ever again. I seen this particular doctor a few times before this and she completely written me off. The gps serives are going downhill fast. Its hard to find anywhere that has a good doctors these days. If you want good receptionist and nurses come here. If you want to see a doctor go elsewhere.

  6. Review titled New Telephone Call Back

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I am so pleased that Worley Medical Centre is offering the option of an automated “keep your place in the telephone queue and call back when it’s your turn” system now. The last thing you want to do when you’re ill is hang on the phone - so this automated call back system is a true blessing & seems to work very well. Thank you.
