Review titled Rude staff
Rated 1 star out of 5

Ive had a few bad experiences dealing with this practise. Tried calling to make an appointment, couldn’t get through for days, went to the surgery to make an appointment, nobody in the waiting room, 3 staff chatting behind the counter, receptionist sat eating a pack of biscuits completely ignored me. Eventually finished her biscuits then rudely asked what i want. Saw a dr, zero interest in listening or helping, waste of time. Called to complain about the service, practise manager had zero interest. Explained that the phones are busy and they are understaffed. Also said they have staff training every Wednesday. I said the issue is the attitude of the staff not staff numbers. If they actually answered the phone and spoke to people politely the place may run more smoothly. There are posters up in the surgery saying abuse of staff will not be tolerated. It should say that patients will not tolerate abuse or incompetence.

Called asking for an emergency appointment as i was vomiting blood. On hold for an hour, spoke to the rudest receptionist in the world! She couldn’t have been less interested. “Ive got no availability for the next two weeks, you will just have to keep calling back”. The place isnt a dr surgery, it is a place where ruse people collect a wage for doing nothing all day. They are rude, lazy, incompetent people who all need to be sacked starting with the manager who defends and encourages this behaviour.

Review titled Making appointments for school children
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Hi, This is the third time now l have rang the surgery for an appointment for my 4 year old. I ring at 8am and after several attemts l finally get through. When asking for an after school appointment, the respose is always there are no after school appointments? But today the receptionist said - if your child is poorly then should not be at school? I explained that it was an earaache (no temp) and the appointment was to stop it turning into an ear infection when then time off school would be needed. She then said - l could try ring back later for afternoon appointments to become available? But no guarantee? If l was to keep my child off school for every virus/cold/infection then l would be in trouble with school. I try to keep time off school to a minimum and asses each illness, to maintain a good attandance record. Why can they not be proceedure in place - that children under a certain age can get after school appointments? After l asked this, then an appointment was found at the other surgery in Sharlston? Which l will have to drive to - which Crofton is a short walk?

Review titled Rudeness

Up until this point, I’d like to start by saying that, generally, most of the doctors are helpful, supportive and proactive at Crofton. But……..I have had an ongoing problem for months, which hasn’t been resolved yet. I have been to the doctors on numerous occasions and am getting increasingly worried and worse. I booked yet another appointment last week, in the hope that I would get help to improve my health, but when I asked if they could help me, I was just met with a very abrupt ‘no’. I now have to wait for 4 weeks for a hospital appointment. I am really struggling and will suffer a lot, waiting this long. I got the impression that the doctor was fed up with me and wasn’t willing to listen or take a look at my problem. It’s something I believe a doctor could help me with, as I wait for a hospital appointment, and would ease my suffering. They were very rude, disrespectful and spoke down to me. I was shocked at their attitude. No one deserves to be spoken to like that, especially for just asking for help. Truly disgusting behaviour that shouldn’t be tolerated. How dare they?
