  1. Review titled Horrendous Receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 February 2024

I was told to speak to an urgent care doctor regarding my referral because the receptionist thought he worked at this surgery. I explained that he was unable to help me because he does not work at croft he works at urgent care and only my GP surgery can help me regarding my ongoing referral. She was argumentative and it seemed like she took offense to me clarifying that. I was very polite but she was giving me dangerous misinformation. Her lack of knowledge with how referrals work was shocking. She kept insisting that the Dr who helped me at urgent care was not from urgent care and that I was seen at croft medical centre. I saw that Dr at Oadby Urgent Care centre on Oadby Parade and this is a fact. She was extremely rude after i tried to correct her and I was being very polite.

  2. Review titled Difficult staff

Rated 2 stars out of 5

It is extremely difficult to get a pre-bookable appointment here. When you phone and ask to book an appointment in advance they always say there are none available and tell you to ring back a week ahead of when you want to go in. When you do this you’re told again there are no appointments! It is extremely difficult to arrange an appointment to see a doctor here when you are working. They tell you to ring at 8 am but that is not always practical or feasible when you are on your way to work. The receptionists are often abrupt and difficultThey ask too many personal questions, and are often too assertive and there are some who are extremely patronising. The management here need to sort out the availability of appointments so that people who work can make advance appointments without having to keep on ringing week after week in the hope of getting an appointment. It is totally unacceptable, and nothing improves. Also, can the staff please use our names & not be so patronising? Eg. I do not appreciate being addressed as “ my love”, “ Dear” or “Lovely”.

  5. Review titled Friendly Doctors

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I was invited to this Menopause session as they thought it would be beneficial to me. Upon attending I realised that it is more beneficial to pre menopausal women. Don't get me wrong this is very informative and the doctors presenting did a fantastic job, but I personally felt I was further along in my journey than the other women and this was not really tailored to me.

  6. Review titled Terrible Reception Staff

Rated 3 stars out of 5

The receptionists here are very difficult. They ask numerous personal questions before they will grant an appointment, and do so begrudgingly as a last resort. They take it upon themselves to diagnose your problem, and often tell you to go to the chemist! Since when have receptionists been allowed to make diagnoses? You are made to feel like a nuisance here, as if you are wasting the doctors time. The reception staff need urgent training. I do not contact a GP surgery unless I need help. I should not have to battle past patronising receptionists in order to see a doctor.

Really helpful advice, in the future, if needed will be speaking to you about it. It would have been helpful if I had some leaflets to take with me, as I can't remember everything that was discussed.

  9. Review titled Swift service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Following an health issue I recently had, my GP practice got me a same day face to face appointment. My GP was extremely informative and kind. She referred me to the hospital during my actual appointment. The hospital contacted me the next working day and were equally efficient and sorted out my issue. I am very grateful to the NHS. Thank you
