    The NHS have a duty to care... well.. Greengates take this very seriously whilst been kind and empathic and occasionally humorous. I have had quite a few problems lately, and Greengates have given amazing support, from all staff! However whilst all staff are excellent I was lucky enough to have an appointment with nurse M the other day, (This stupid form won't let me use a "name") what an amazing nurse. She was absolutely the definition of a great practitioner, having worked in the NHS myself as well as having treatments, I am aware that in my opinion the best practitioners are a perfect combination of kindness, empathy, humanity and balanced with professionalism. Nurse "M" knocked it out the park. Whilst all the staff I have worked with at Greengates are definitely a cut above (Which also reflects well on the management working behind the lines) all other practices or services I've received over the years, are excellent I was very lucky to have seen nurse "M" for an assessment. Now... that in no way is disparaging towards any other fantastic members of the staff I have dealt with I was extremely pleased to have seen "M" for these particular tests. I want to make it clear that there are members of staff who you just talk to on a phone, behind the frontline staff, they too are themselves frontline staff and have also been absolutely excellent. Someone is definitely doing something right to bring together such a cohesively outstanding team. To sum up every time I visit Greengates, I ponder on useless practices I've seen previously, but mostly feel sooooo lucky to be walking up to their door and giving it a push!

    Called to make an appointment to discuss blood test with GP after receiving text message from surgery. Reception was rude would not let me explain my situation had to call back again at 8 am to try and get appt that day. This was despite ringing at 8am on the previous day being 17 in the queue waiting 20+ minutes only to be spoken to like a child. Was told my results weren’t urgent so I could wait. Fail to understand this problem was going on since January and required medication change. The reception staff are not qualified to triage patients and should listen. I know they are busy but so am I

    Rang to make an appointment at 8.30am on Tuesday morning, I asked if I could make an appointment, the receptionist informed me that I had to make an appointment at 8am and there were no appointments for that day, I asked when I could make an appointment for, she replied that the earliest they had was for the 5th Sept, not once did she ask me what the problem was, she seemed to have a lack of empathy or sympathy, and was for me plain rude

    I bought my mum to the surgery to have a check up because of weight and memory loss. The receptionist was friendly , and the doctor was professional and thorough .

    We went in person for an appointment for my wife who was visibly in pain after a week of hip related, (we think) pain. The receptionist immediately said without eye contact that she wouldn't have anything for at least tri weeks. She didn't have any concern for us, since we told her that the Beverley walk in she suggested had a waiting time if three hours and does not do hip X rays, so a G.P. recommendation for one, was har we needed. She could easily have smiled and said something like, "I am sorry we don't do emergency appointments anymore, but if I take your number, I will let you know if there is a cancellation as I can see your wife is in pain". Instead we got nothing except , " I can only suggest the walk in or A and E". We left upset and disillusioned with poor empathy being displayed.

    Having received a reminder to book cervical screening, like many people, I didn’t get around to booking it. However, the nurse called me to book the appointment. Thank you! When I went for the appointment, I found the reception staff friendly and helpful, even though they were obviously very busy. The appointment was on time, the nurse was friendly and reassuring. Thank you for making something that I always dread into an ok experience!
