Review titled Felt uncomfortable
Rated 3 stars out of 5

I seen the nurse practitioner mb, regarding a lump I have had on my lymph node. She looked instantly confused and said you don’t have lymph nodes there. I have studied anatomy and had to show the name of the node. She then asked why I made the appointment. This has been my fear of getting this lump check out. After knowing someone who was sent away with a lump which was actually cancerous and a family member having died from lymphoma. This nurse has just made me feel like I shouldn’t even be there.

Dear Patient. Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry you felt uncomfortable at your appointment today. I have found your consultation and will discuss this with both the ANP and her mentor GP. As recommended by the ANP today, it looks like you have booked a GP appointment to have the lump checked by a doctor. If you wish to discuss this further with a member of the management team, please do not hesitate to contact the practice. Thank you. Sarah Ryans. Business Manager.

Review titled Great practice

Procedure done by nurse this morning - very professional and competent, put me at ease and explained everything clearly. The reception staff at Colliery Court are always polite and helpful; I can usually get straight through on the phone and get a suitable appointment. E-consult is responded to within appropriate timescale, usually within 24hrs and my needs always met. Thank you to all the team.

I recently joined the practice and the service from all of the staff has been exceptional. They have been so helpful at a very difficult time for me and have so much patience and empathy. The telephone call I received today from a GP was great.

Review titled Poor experience
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anne Bell - Posted on 18 May 2023
No appts for over 2 weeks with dr so seen by nurse who explained she could only discuss one issue today as I would need to see a dr for my other concern. She did correct a referral made in January that was not completed so delay for 5 months. Always been happy with this surgery but of late on my infrequent visits things are not the same. I no longer feel confident with the service.

Dear Mrs Bell Thank you for your feedback. Advanced Nurse Practitioners are the appropriate clinician to deal with the issue you booked in for. Unfortunately we do ask patients to book a double appointment should they have more than one issue to address so that clinics do not run late for other patients. If patients attend with more than one issue we do normally ask them to arrange another appointment to discuss this. I believe you have spoken to the Medical Secretary regarding your referral and this has been resolved. Thank you. Colliery Court Medical Group
