Review titled Bad practice

For days my wife and i have tried to make an appointment and after ringing for over half an hour to get through we are told there are no appointments left, we did the same for midday and the same again. How are you surposed to see a GP when you cannot even get through. This is disgusting how they got a good rating beats me as only about 120 people replied to the survey which could have been members of the people who work there.

On behalf of College Road Surgery, I would like to say how very sorry we are to hear of your recent experience and dissatisfaction with the practice phone system. The practice invested in and implemented an improved cloud based phone system a few years ago which has received some improved feedback in this area but we are always looking to further develop, enhance and improve the system for the benefit of our patients. Many thanks for taking the time to post your comments as we do take all complaints, feedback and comments very seriously. As we currently do not have enough information to identify you through the website, we cannot contact you directly, but if you would like to discuss this in person I would be most happy to meet with you. Yours sincerely, Roy Sellarajah, Practice Manager (On behalf of College Road Surgery).

Review titled Great Practice

Well what can I say, I have been with this Practice since I was born. I had a Prescription review this morning with the Clinical Pharmacist (wish I could mention his name). It has been a tough year for myself and my family having lost a Grandchild who was with the same Practice. I had the best appointment this morning I cried a lot and I could feel him grieving with me and he told me it is okay to cry. I was a little apprehensive when I was told my appointment would be with the Clinical Pharmacist as I normally see the Doctor, however, he was absolutely amazing. The meeting was excellent I was not rushed, I wouldn't dare tell you how long it was for but, it certainly wasn't short. I felt so comfortable and for once, my Blood Pressure was okay, my white coat syndrome did not kick in! I also had an appointment on Friday, last week with one of the Nurses and Receptionist for my Covid Booster and Flu Vaccine given together. Again, they were both really caring and considerate as I was nervous about having two Vaccine's at the same time and I am pleased to say they did not hurt at all and I had no side effects other than a little tenderness where the needles went in the next day, which soon disappeared. I left the Surgery at 11.25am today and walked out quickly, forgetting to make my appointment for 6 weeks later. At 2.45pm I had a text message from one of the Doctors with a link to a website which gave information regarding our discussions. At 6.25pm I had a phone call from the Doctors Surgery giving me an appointment for the 6 week review as I did not see the Receptionist when leaving. The reason I am posting this is, I feel so much better this evening after my review today and I always believe credit where it is due. I want to say the biggest thank you to the Doctors, Professionals and all the staff including the domestics who keep the surgery spotless. Merry Christmas everyone, keep up the good work.

Review titled Pointless

Well what can I say other than an a absolute disgrace! Almost impossible to get an appointment even if you call on the dot at the designated times by the time you get through (over 100 calls later) your told by unhelpful receptionist that there are no appointments left and to call 111. I explained it was for my child yet it made no difference. Absolute waste of time as you can never get an appointment.

Dear patient, I am so sorry for your recent experience with the surgery. We try to see most children at the surgery either in routine appointments or in the emergency duty doctor clinic ,especially those under 5 years old . Access is an issue in most practices because of demand , capacity and resources hence why the NHS 111 was put in place for alternative access. I will discuss this with the team , I hope you have resolved the issue with your child , if not could you contact the surgery . We do take your comments seriously and reflect and make changes accordingly Once again I am so sorry for your experience at the practice. Kind regards Dr S Sarin On behalf of the practice
