  1. Review titled Long waits for an appointment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 June 2024

Responding to a message to urgently contact the practice regarding needing to discuss test results I learned I had to wait 7 weeks to see a Doctor. Alternative was the 5 weeks to see a nurse. I am still waiting to know what the issue is and can only hope it’s not urgent or serious and my sympathies go to others in this situation as I assume I’m not alone.

We are sorry to hear you have not been happy with the service at Cobbs Garden Surgery. Over the past 18 months we have been faced with many challenges that has impacted our wait times. We are pleased to announce that we have now recruited a full clinical team and a new triage system that is expected to increase capacity and over come the issues patients have been experienced during this difficult time.

  3. Review titled Lack of patient focus and medical needs.

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am waiting for urgent eye surgery and require blood tests in order to proceed. Upon trying to arrange an urgent blood test the surgery has decided that their requirements are more important than my need for urgent surgery and have told me i have to wait for three months before they will arrange the test. This is very unhelpful and only decreases further my quality of life. Not at all what is expected of the NHS

  4. Review titled Disappointed

This used to be such a good GP practice but it has sadly gone downhill. I understand that the population of Olney has grown but to call up and ask for an appointment and told to wait 2 months is totally unacceptable. Apparently it's possible to call on the day and if the receptionists deems your need is urgent then you may get an appointment. When did receptionists become skilled in deciding how urgent your medical problems are? Really disappointed!
