by Szoboslai - Posted on 18 October 2024
I visited with my mother . I called morning and the wait on the phone was too long so I pressed for the call back option which is fantastic as you are not waiting in the queue I got callback from the receptionist she asked why we need to see the Dr and offered appointment We got a double appointment because we had more than one problem to discuss with Go My mom got seen by the female Gp She was excellent , she took her time and spoke to my mother land asked question not just me because I am her carer The Gp referred my mom for urgent blood test and referral We got blood test in the same visit They offered this because it is easier than bring mother out again Nurse was very gentle with mom when taking bloods and Bp and given flu injection so we dont have to book again The staff are very helpful everytime I call and never have problem to see the Gp

Thank you for your generous feedback. We are delighted to hear that you and your mother had such a positive experience during your visit. It’s wonderful to know that our call-back option made it easier for you to access our services, and we’re glad you found the double appointment helpful. We pride ourselves on providing thorough and compassionate care, and it’s fantastic to hear that the GP took the time to engage with both you and your mother. Your kind words about our staff, including the nurse, are greatly appreciated and will be shared with the team. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and for trusting us with your mother’s care.

I really appreciated the efforts and care shown towards myself by the reception staff, thanking one particular who made me feel very welcome, and also thanking the GP who was awesome as usual, taking a real and genuine concern towards my health. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Review titled Horrible practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

I called 8 in morning asking for a blood test, explained why Tell me why these strange people can never do a blood test? I had to ring 111 go through bri for the blood test where even the doctor there said “what kind of medical centre does not give a blood test to someone concerned “ I can ask for a blood test to check if I’m pregnant and this practice will fully ignore me, I do not have to explain, I could have been sexually assuaged and the people here at this practice will ask “are you married “ and make faces because I’m Muslim . Do your job and do a blood test. I honestly can’t believe how this place is still running

Good morning, Thank you for sharing your concerns. We are committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to all our patients, regardless of background or circumstances. We take any feedback seriously and strive to uphold our values of equality and respect. Unfortunately, without specific details, we are unable to address your situation directly. We encourage you to contact us so we can discuss your experience further. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we would appreciate the opportunity to resolve any issues you faced. We never advise our patients to go to 111 when we are open. It may take longer to get through in a busy peak time, however we ensure we answer every call as fast as possible. Also, you do not require a blood test for pregnancy test. You can always visit your local pharmacy and pick up a test kit and save your NHS resources. We are sorry you have had a poor experience with our practice.

I have been calling the surgery from the last three days for appointment but did not get it. Today when finally I got a call back from the surgery , to my surprise I got to know that I have been deducted from their list ,that too without my consent and knowledge. Quite disappointed from their poor service and would never recommend to anyone.

Good morning, We are very sorry you have had a poor experience with our practice, unfortunately you have only left one name and we are unable to contact you directly to sort out the problems you have encountered. Your concerns seem to be around registrations and deductions. Unfortunately we do not control deductions of out of area or otherwise. Please contact the surgery and speak to the reception team manager, Zaibun, who will listen to you and try to resolve your concerns. We do offer same day access to majority of our patients ringing in daily. It may not be the GP however we have variety of clinical staff who are here to treat, help and assist. We are sorry you have had a poor experience with our practice. Qasim Khan-Alizai Practice Manager

Review titled Absolutely brilliant practice

I called up at 8am in the morning and got an appointment for 9am. I had a 40min conversation with my gp and she listened to all my problems and she didn’t make it feel rushed or any type of way. She did her best to give me the best care to her extent, she put a blood test on the system. I went to reception to book and they told me if I waited 10 minutes I could have the blood test the same day. The staff is so nice, receptionist was very good and patient with me. Would highly recommend!!!

Review titled Appointment

I am a newly registered patient. I am also a pharmacist that works for a Gp surgery. I requested to switch my contraceptive pill and was informed I would need a pill review. I called for an appointment I was informed there is only one staff member that can complete this review and it would be a month for an appointment. I then asked if I could have an issue of one month of my previous pill to ensure I do not go without. I was informed that cannot happen because I am a new patient I need a pill review. I was told the gps will not deal with my request and basically to wait or go to a sexual health clinic. Do not register at this surgery I am now looking to register elsewhere.

Review titled Not Happy At All
Rated 1 star out of 5

Called for my mum who has few long term conditions. Waited 30 mins for someone to answer, eventually when I did get through asking for an appointed, I had to go series of in dept questions with the receptionist, its like she was the doctor!! Only wanted an appointment so can discuss all these questions & answers with a doctor not receptionist while other staff are there in the background. No wonder it takes ages for them to answer the calls as the receptionist are diagnosing & assessing ppl on the phone, so what will doctors do then? The receptionist kept on saying she couldn't hear me even though I could hear her clearly. However after nearly an hour of messing around did manage to get an appointment but not a suitable time for me to come out of work & take my mum, I explained that its too short time for me to bring my mum, but she won't give me an alternate time, either I take this time or no appointment!! Had to agree. I then had to recall ( again waiting another 25 mins approx ) to say that I am not able to make it for that time. This time however I spoke to another person & she understood & did rearrange a suitable time. My point is why all this mess about for an appointment? I understand receptionist should ask reason for an appointment but this is like a full assessment on the phone what a doctor would do! Imagine you work full time & having to go through all this, its like you have to take a full day off to go through the full process to come & see a doc. What is in place for working ppl who can't spare time to go through all this?? I had to take the morning off to go through all this. Dissapointing!!!!

Your concerns seem to be around our reception team, please contact the surgery and speak to the reception team manager, Zaibun, who will listen to you and try to resolve your concerns. We have a care navigation triaging model which is an approved model of care by the NHS. We do recognise that patients would want to be seen by the GP however most of the times by presenting symptoms it may not be the GP who is appropriate. Care navigation is widely used and sign posts service users to the right person for the right care at the right time. We are sorry you have had a poor experience with our practice.
