  1. Review titled Lovely receptionist and nurse - both so kind

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 November 2024

I wanted to see a doc today after 5 weeks being a bit sick… although at first I was sent to the chemist, when I returned to the surgery after these two ladies were extra helpful and kind and got me sorted with blood tests and an appointment. Even though resources are tight they wanted to help me.

Good care and advice. Clarence Medical Centre has been my GP service for 25 years. I value their help. My last visit was for my flu and Covid vaccinations

Appointment for Covid and flu jabs. In and out quickly, hardly any waiting. Friendly nurse who administered the injections

  4. Review titled Actual help

by Katariin Lindre - Posted on 26 September 2024

I came to the practice on Monday, Sept 23 at around 3pm. I had got my thumb stuck in a taxi and my nail was crushed. I asked if I could please see a nurse who could assess me. The receptionist told me they’ll call me back. There was not a single patient apart from me. They called me back after an hour to say I should go to A & E. I couldn’t afford to stay an entire evening away from my kids. What is the actual purpose of a GO practice or a nurse? What’s the purpose of NHS? So that you’ll send me to a hospital with a nail that’s about to come off? Like why are you even working? For what? To send me to A & E?

  5. Review titled A Complete Shambles of a GP Surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

The sheer incompetence of this gp surgery is beyond belief. I have had three appointments in a row with the wrong doctors. The most recent incident happened today when I received a call just 30 minutes before my appointment. I now have to wait another three weeks for a new appointment. This gp surgery obviously has a lack of organisation and care in the work they do and is shown how they treat patients. Note: I have had to make this review very simple as the NHS rejects reviews with any details.

  6. Review titled Highest level of care.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was provided with the highest level of care, understanding, compassion and professionalism alongside diagnosis and treatment. The GP and front desk truly make a huge difference. Thank you.

  7. Review titled Well established GP practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I like it when you ring it tells you your number in the queue. I was able to see the nurse. She was very good. After checks I had to attend wph for further tests. Fortunately all was in order.

  8. Review titled Awful place

Rated 1 star out of 5

Awful place, over 2 weeks for an appointment, no compassion from the doctors, you are expected to reveal your personal medical conditions to an untrained receptionist, they claim they have no appointments available for weeks but when pushed miraculously they can get you seen the next day! Incompetence in dealing with other institutions, I paid for a private MRI scan and asked to get the results sent to my doctor, I was given an email address to send the scans too but days/weeks passed and they never arrived, I checked with the people that performed the scan that they had sent the images, after calling my doctors for the umpteenth time I discovered that the email address I was given wasn’t monitored, you couldn’t make this stuff up, they gave me another email address and finally they got my scans! You have to chase them up on everything, they sent prescriptions to the wrong chemist, the list is endless, when you give them feed back on their website they don’t even have the courtesy to acknowledge it, they really are an uncaring bunch. They sent my partner a letter threatening to remove them from their surgery because they commented on a post someone had written about the surgery, my partner only stated that you had to wait on hold for up to half an hr to get an appointment then often got cut off, at the time you had no idea where you were in their queue. Disgraceful behaviour from their management!

  10. Review titled Terrible practuce

Rated 1 star out of 5

I completed an e consult. The response 2 days later was we cannot prescribe what you have requested. There was no request to see photos of my problem. No follow appointment or call. Virtually each time I try to get an appointment I have to tell an untrained receptionist all my problems which in all honesty I don’t think is acceptable. This is relayed to the GP who then decides if you’re worthy of their time. My first call after new year was to bump me to A & E or a walk in centre. The walk in centre refused me as not the correct place to go and I wasn’t prepared to sit and wait for days in A & E. I am pushed from doctor to hospital and then told the doc should be dealing with me. It’s appalling service and I am trying tl find a better practice. Unfortunately there doesn’t appear to be one rated half decent in the area.
