    I have been trying to access a Gp in order to get my Diabetes medication reviewed for months. Initially I was given an appointment with the Diabetic Nurse but she was ill so they changed my appointment to a Healthcare Assistant who wasn’t able to discuss medications. I tried again to see a Gp to review my medications but this time they put me with a Physician Associate who told me, incorrectly, that the medication I wanted was only available through secondary care. I then asked if I could be referred and she said no. So I didn’t try again for a couple of months because I believed that she was right in what she told me. However I did some research and found out that the drug I had asked for is available through Primary Care and that I qualified for it. So I made another appointment to see a doctor to discuss my medications. He confirmed I qualified for the medication and suggested I see the Diabetic nurse. So I made an appointment to see her the following week. Unfortunately when I got to the surgery I was told she was ill so I had an appointment with the healthcare assistant again who can’t prescribe. So I asked if I could make an appointment to see a doctor again as the Diabetic nurse was unavailable. They made an appointment for me the next day with one of the doctors. When I got to the Practice I was told that the she was ill so I had an appointment with a trainee doctor who was unable to prescribe the drug I wanted without speaking to the diabetic lead who wasn’t in that day and wasn’t in on the following day either. To give the trainee his due he did manage to speak to the diabetic lead 3 days later who confirmed I was eligible to receive the drug. But why did it take me 4 separate appointments, none of which ended up with a doctor who was willing to prescribe diabetes medications? I had specifically put on all the online forms that I needed to see a doctor to discuss my diabetes medications. I don’t know why that was so difficult to get done. And if someone is ill why can’t the surgery let the patient know so they don’t waste time coming into the practice when the person they have been rebooked with doesn’t have the qualifications to prescribe the drug requested? The whole experience has been frustrating and difficult and if I hadn’t been able to research the medications myself I would still have nothing. In addition to this when I went to pick up my medication from the pharmacist, which is an injectable, the doctor had not prescribed me any needles. I’ve never had any injectables before so had to fill in yet another form in order to be able to administer the medication. I’m exhausted by the whole palaver. The receptionist I had to deal with when I yet again, on the 4th attempt didn’t have a Doctor to see me was rude, had no understanding or sympathy and couldn’t have cared less.

    From previously leaving a warranted poor service review I attended for a flu / COVID jab. Booked the appointment online by request attended & found surgery much improved a much better balanced queue waiting & timing perfect. Friendly & positive medical practitioner away very quickly & impressed with this improvement

    Went to Cheadle Medical Practise on 03/09/2024 was offered the Covid jab as well as the flu, was impressed with the efficiency of the nurse

    It's hard enough to get an appointment at all nowadays, even when I've been referred elsewhere for tests and the GP is the channel for feedback of the results to me. Suddenly I get a message making an appointment for a telephone consultation with a GP. It is a month after the tests to which it relates. On the appointed day I stay in but receive no calls. An hour after the appointed time and again after 2 hours I call the surgery and both times I am told I am next on the Doctor's list to call but I never happened. In the afternoon I called back and was offered a face to face appointment with another GP a few days later. On this day I attended the surgery but the GP confessed she had been unable to locate the test report that were the point of the appointment. I went home none the wiser. A few hours later this GP telephoned me having located the missing results and finally completed the discussion of them with me.

    I called into the practice on 3rd of June. The receptionist was fantastic, very helpful after I explained my concerns and booked me an urgent appointment for the 6th June. At this appointment I found the GP to be very thorough and listened to me without it feeling rushed and I was satisfied with the next steps after the appointment. I had another appointment this morning with the nurse practitioner who from start to finish was amazing! I was immediately put at ease about the procedure I was having and felt comfortable throughout the appointment as I can get quite anxious. All 3 of these people have made my experience over the last week a positive one and are a credit to the practice.

    Overall the work of the staff was very nice and pleasant, and every doctor I've been to so far has been good and used by me. And I am completely satisfied with the entire GP staff.

    The doctor I saw was very helpful, he listened to me the Dr saw me on time, the reception staff were friendly The associate physician was also very helpful and informative, all round I had a good experience
