I was suffering badly with sciatica, Dr referred me for physio after which I had an appointment quickly, in a week. Meds were prescribed and my condition was explained. Altogether from making the appointments to seeing the GP and physio I am very pleased with care offered from Chapel Group medical, Physio Walkden Gateway and MSK in Irlam. Thanks to all.

Review titled Appointment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Kevin - Posted on 18 September 2024
Due to my recent chronic condition, I've had to ring and make several appointments with the practice. I've found the increase on reception staff answering calls very supportive and speedy answers with my health concerns. I would also like to mention that on my recent appointments my doctor has supported me not only with my health issue in question on the day but other concerns I've mentioned at the appointment. These are very difficult times for the NHS and the practice due to funding and cut backs. I'm 64 years young and cut backs on prescribe medication once available and my chronic condition have added a massive strain on me and my finance, mental health.

Review titled Satisfactory practice
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Sheila Hilton - Posted on 10 September 2024
Seen on time. However, I had to wait three plus weeks for my appointment. I was happy with how my problem was dealt with. Kind and understanding doctor. Further medical referral now in the pipeline. Waiting now to receive appointment resulting from referral.

Dear Mrs Hilton, Thank you for taking the time to post this review. I am concerned that you report that you had to wait over 3 weeks for a GP appointment. Looking at the current waiting times for a GP appointment, this currently sits at 1.5 weeks. Therefore it would be great if you could feedback to me the circumstances to why you waited this long 1. Did you request a certain GP/date/time etc? Please email at clare.richardson@nhs.net Kind regards Clare Richardson Practice Manager

Went for blood checks after blood was taken told no doctor was booked to review test results so samples were pointless and had to rebook tests in 2 months very poor you need to get your act together.

Review titled Very poor
Rated 1 star out of 5

I am physically disabled and had a very bad fall which resulted in me having to attend the A&E department for my left leg and knee to be xray. Thankfully my bone was broken but I did have a badly brushed bone and tissue damage and was gave crutches. The hospital suggested contacting my GP and ask for an appointment for a high dose of anti inflammatory as my leg was very painful and swollen. I contacted my GP surgery the very next morning and explained whT had happened and for an appointment so I could be given the suggested medication. The receptionist male advice the next available appointment would be September 20th, that was10 days away. I explained I was in a great deal of pain but this didn't change his decision. Chapel group medical centre are appalling and have been incidents in the past also.
