Been trying to get an appointment for several days but so busy that not able to do so by phone. Eventually got to speak to someone who said a Doctor would ring me only to be rung by someone in the admin team who said no one could speak to me or see me and I would have touring tomorrow at the usual time. I explained this has not been possible to be given the usual ring 111 or go to A and E if serious. Firstly 111 told me to make the appointment to see my GP and secondly I don't think using A and E because I cannot get an appointment to see my GPnis okay. This on top of a complete lack of any follow up care once placed on medication or told you have an issue is just not okay. All I want is to see a Doctor who actually shows some care. Can't get either here. Going to go elsewhere after over 10 years of mediocre care that now borders on appalling.

I have always given excellent reviews of the service the admin team give, sadly this was not the case last Friday, 21/6/24. I phoned for advice after my husband suffered vomiting and diarrhoea after having teeth extracted at the dentist. We put this down to the penicillin prescribed by the dentist. My husband is on warfarin and I was concerned about the effect on his clotting levels. The person who answered the phone said I needed to contact the dentist, despite that it had become a medical problem and that it was approximately 5.20pm when the dentist was closed for the weekend. I asked if there was a doctor there and she just repeated that I should contact the dentist. This also meant that my husband was left without any suitable antibiotics.

Has the practice for collecting prescriptions changed recently? My husband called in to collect a repeat prescription for me today only to be advised by the receptionist that as I have not given written consent, they are unable to give him any details as to if it was ready or not. He explained that he was my husband, but again was advised that it could not be divulged if a prescription was ready or not. Please advise

Thank you for your comments and questions. I am sorry this was difficult for you. It is correct practice not to divulge any patient information unless we have written consent. However, this has highlighted a gap in our reception Team knowledge and we will take it to our next staff meeting for clarity in one week

The doctors and reception staff are extremely helpful, I was 10 minutes late for my appointment today, yet the doctor still made time to see me, the appointment was to support a life insurance claim, the doctor extremely helpful to correct my medical history which reflected poorly by previous GP surgery. I have never experienced such a helpful GP practice.

My husband needed an emergency prescription this morning and staff went above and beyond to make it happen. We are always so pleased with our treatment. Thankyou.

I've tried to prebook commuter appointments with no success, but today was the worst ever I phoned at 8:30 and was unable to even speak to anyone just received an automated statements saying no more appointments for today, just referred me to 111 who were the ones who told me to call the GP it's now more than 3 years since I managed to see a Dr at this practice, only seem to offer appointments that increase their payments such as covid, flu and presumably shingles inoculations.

We have now started to put commuter appointments online so you can make the appointment yourself. If you need assistance to use the NHS app to book the appointment , please attend the reception at lunch times on Wednesdays and one of our staff members will assist you.
