  1. Review titled Waiting on Phone

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by MR JOHN COLLMAN - Posted on 08 August 2024

As I write this review I am on hold on the phone, I have been on hold for 53 minutes. All I keep hearing is music and then "your call is very important to us please wait". Obviously my call is not important or I wouldn't be on hold still, now 55 minutes. When I do eventually get through it will be a receptionist tha thinks their a doctor. This is an appalling service, when I do get past the wanna be doctor on reception I'll have a phone appointment with a GP as at this practice they seem to think we are still in the pandemic and try their best to fob you off on the phone. And before I close this review, I'm still on hold, 59 minutes. Totally unacceptable, and the answer if I do get to speak to someone will be "we're very busy". Then I would suggest that this practice employ more staff if they know the problem.

  3. Review titled Complete Waste of Time

Rated 1 star out of 5

by John - Posted on 20 August 2024

Update on my last review,. I was on hold for an hour and 45 minutes. I went to the surgery whilst still on hold. When I got to the surgery no-one was even answering the phones. I explained to the rude receptionist that I need to see a doctor and I need a fit note. The receptionist said the secretaries were to busy to speak with me so I asked to speak with the practice manager. Lo and behold the apparent head doctor phoned me as I was in the surgery and after 8 minutes on the phone with him he told me I could see a nurse amd said "You're lucky to be seeing a nurse so quickly", even tjough he could have seen me in the 8 minutes he chose to sit in his office and speak only via the phone. When I complained to the practice manager about all of the above suddenly an appointment was available for two days later, and my fit note was ready to be collected. The appointment two days later with the very same doctor was a complete waste of time as it was a telephone appointment. When I explained to him what was wrong with me he asked, and I quote, " what do you want me to do about it". I replied "your job, be adoctor and you tell me what should be done about it" To this he said he would do nothing. These GP's think they can do as they pkease, which to some extent they can. They are jack of all trade know nothings, copped for the easy life speakingbwith people on the phone. The real doctors are the ones that work in hospitals, specialise and make life changing decisions everyday. Unlike this bunch at the Centre Practice.

Wanted to give a review to thank Fareham Centre Practice for all the care and kindness always shown to me and my husband, it has always been first rate. Kindness and care from doctors and nurses, referrals, test results etc from secretaries and our very patient reception 'thank you' all. Great service with a very reduced staff.

  5. Review titled Getting through to secretary

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I have test results which I need so I can tell my boss whether I’m ok to return to work. After waiting 35 minutes to speak to someone I was then told to ring the secretaries who would go through the results. Well after 6 times calling still no luck, the phone rings and then goes dead or you get the engaged tone. Please how is anyone meant to get results when no one answers the phone.
