Review titled Partner UTI
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Peter - Posted on 09 August 2024
this clinic has failed twice to diagnose a simple uti. first failing to dip test and the second, after taking antibiotics so any tests would give a false negative. blatantly incapable of simple rudimentary examinations blaming my partners menstrual cycle, after my self a nurse testing the ruin and another doctor both confirming the uti. Incompetent is a understatement.

Review titled Refused to see a 15 month old.
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 August 2024
My granddaughter looked like she’s been punched and her eyes were stuck closed with yellow pus.Called the gp at 8am to be told the gp would call back. Later the pharmacist called to say my granddaughter had been referred to them but as she was 15 months old they could not treat her and referred her back to the gp. Never heard anything and daughter rang the surgery at 4 pm. Only to be told that the gp didn’t need to see her and that she could carry on as normal and go to nursery. The doctor had in essence refused to see a baby with conjunctivitis. This was diagnosed at the walk in centre the following morning and she was prescribed antibiotics which healed her eyes within a few days. I am disgusted with this surgery and want to know why you can never get an appointment, never get through on the phone and the patch’s system is never turned on. This surgery needs investigation as it is failing patients. I have since changed gp and have had better service in three weeks than in three years with this surgery.

Always very helpful and friendly and make you feel heard. I needed urgent bloods done and the lady on reception booked my urgent appointment then arranged for my follow up with the doctor who asked for the bloods to be done. Nothing was too much trouble. Very efficient and she's always smiling so you feel like she is very happy to help.

Saw a doctor yesterday who I had not seen before. He explained things very clearly and took the time to answer my questions. I will certainly ask to see this doctor again should I need an appointment.

I would like to pass on my thanks for reacting to my request over not being able to get multivitamins which I have had for 4 yrs on prescription. I hope the pharmacist can sort for me with a alternative prescription to my designated pharmacy. Merry Christmas regards Sandra Hurst

Thank you. We have been very satisfied with the treatment we have received over the last 2 years. We changed our doctors from billinge to yourselves 2 years ago and it was the best thing we ever did.

Review titled Really excellent practice for me
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sue Lemasurier (née Hales) - Posted on 13 March 2023
I asked to see a GP about a number of separate but related issues and was offered a double appointment which due to being with an excellent trainee lasted 40 minutes. GP carried out a thorough assessment of all my issues and we had a patient centred discussion of the options eg which medication I would prefer given advantages and disadvantages of each. GP suggested I self-refer to practice physiotherapy service for joint issues which I did. The appointment was a week later and for double session to allow time to discuss two joint issues in depth. An extremely thorough assessment was carried out by the friendly, professional senior practitioner who came from a physiotherapy background. She gave me a detailed explanation of her assessment, findings and treatment options. Having a lengthy appointment was invaluable as I feel finally there is some understanding of the causes of my problems and what might be done to improve my mobility and ease my pain. I will be referred to the Falls Clinic, also for two physiotherapy appointments. I was also told about possible further options and when I was asked whether the causal explanations would be on my notes I was told they will so I do not need to remember anatomical details. I am delighted with the way the surgery operates and feel very lucky to be with such a good service.

Review titled Medication
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Elizabeth Ryan - Posted on 23 January 2023
Phoned 8 times today continually cut off. Eventually got through and enquired why my prescription had not been sent to pharmacy. Was told it was printed off so could not be sent over to pharmacy when asked why it was not sent as I have been ordering my scripts for years electronically no explanation given so for the privilege I now have another round trip of 8 miles to collect and take for processing not good enough. I have made a suggestion that there should be line for prescriptions as having to get through on main line is impossible it would stop the frustrations for patients and surely more helpful for staff.
