  1. Review titled No one answers test results phone

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 June 2024

Tried for up to 20 minutes over 2 days and no one answered, was caller one in queue and this was after 1-30 like they tell you. If you go in always people waiting at reception as can't get any one to answer phone. Shouldn't have a phone line for results if no-one answers it

  2. Review titled 1st class attention

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I contacted the practice via the Internet form. They phoned me back the next morning and gave me a face to face appointment that morning. The GP I saw could not have been more attentive. Excellent. Could not praise more highly.

  3. Review titled Terrible

Never any appointmentsneben when logged on system at 7am. When Docor rang with concerns about my daughter's enlarged spleen even she couldn't make an appointment with herself. So told to triage online. Was told to see GP following week but can't.get in for 3.weeks. this is for a ,13 year old who the doctor requested to see. Mother in law who is 98 was referred for a memory test in August, in January I chased it up to be told it had been rejected but noone told us. I was waiting.for.a.heamotology appointment and was told by.the nurse it was done. It was but had been rejected by the hospital and nurse.had.nit read that. Was given an appointment with a locum doctor who did me a prescription but printed it upside down and back to front,.oh and didn't sign it. The place is a joke. I feel sorry for the receptionists not sure there will be any clientsmleft at this rate.

  4. Review titled Rubbish service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have five days to register my father’s death. We are on day 5 and the drs still haven’t sent the death certificate to the registry office. Every time anyone phones to chance they are on hold for an average of 45 minutes. In an already stressful time they are absolutely no help. They keep saying it is with the dr now - just to appease. I would not be recommending. If they don’t care about how they are treating people who are already stressed and upset then they are not adhering to their code of practice.

  5. Review titled No appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

All I needed was some antibiotics for a chest infection which i get once or twice a year. The doctor said last year don't let it go past 2 weeks or I could get pneumonia. Guess what no appointments for a week which makes it 3 weeks. Christmas weekend coming up so closed for 4 days. Not good.

  6. Review titled Impossible to get a GP appointment

    by Bottesford23 - Posted on 11 September 2023

My GP surgery opens at 8am I have rung continuously since the lines open when I finally get through there is no appointments for today or the rest of the week. I require a repeat prescription because my pain relief has run out and I would like it reviewed so I can have something which makes me less drowsy. This can’t be completed because I would have to see a doctor and there isn’t a doctor free. Surely why waste a doctors appointment on something that could just be reviewed. This is a reoccurring theme with the GP practice how can there be no appointments left just over an hour after opening and how can you even get one when it’s engaged for an hour and when you do get through they are all gone. Surely there could be a better system for reviews. I don't believe the current system just isn’t working. I have been with this surgery since I was 5 years old and over the last 10 years I feel it has turned into a shamble.

  7. Review titled Used to be fabulous

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Tara - Posted on 23 August 2023

Having recently been discharged from hospital, tried to get appointment with gp, only to be told the next one is in 3weeks!!!! I don't understand what is going on at this surgery post covid. It used to be the best in scunthorpe now all I hear are negative comments. What was the point of doing the extension when there clearly isn't enough doctors to cover the amount of patients it has. All the care seems to have disappeared. So sad. Hospital letters say contact your gp but when you finally do get through, there are no appointments. I do feel patients are suffering as a result, I know my family are.

  8. Review titled Very poor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 August 2023

Rarely have my bloods taken at the practice but on the occasions when I have the level of skill is extremely poor, resulting in numerous attempts, leaving the whole of the back of my hand black with bruising. I never experience this anywhere else. Also, when the results show up on your records they are marked ‘Patient Informed’ when that has not been the case. Unless it’s a routine enquiry eg book an appointment receptionists are unhelpful and appear out of their depth. This used to be an excellent practice but is now a shadow of what it once was. I’d advise anyone who needs anything other than routine healthcare to avoid.

  9. Review titled Great assistance when required

Rated 4 stars out of 5

    by A.Merrett - Posted on 08 December 2022

Luckily I have had few occasions to go to the surgery apart from routine blood tests. However, in the last two weeks I had an infection resulting in pain and hard lumps in my chin. I went to reception, was greeted in a friendly and very helpful manner resulting in a same day appointment with a Nurse Practitioner with subsequent antibiotics prescribed. On completion of the dose, the condition had reduced but the lumps although reduced were still worrying. I returned again to reception ,again very understanding and was able to let me see a GP that morning. The doctor was very professional ,prescribed further treatment and reassured me the lumps would clear and were not a serious worry, this was very appreciated. The people involved were at all times a credit to the Practice and in the current climate re health access, treated me very well indeed.
