Review titled Impossible to get an appointment
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Jekaterina W - Posted on 03 June 2024
There is no way of getting an appointment. There is no option any more to book through the app and the phone no longer has a queueing option. You call at 8 to listen to various menus and how you can find help online and then once you finally get to appointments, they tell you we can’t answer the phone, try again later. How is this even allowed? It’s beyond appalling. Time to find another surgery. They send you letters telling you to make an appointment but it’s literally impossible.

Review titled No reply to online form

Couldn't get an appointment as no one answers the phone. Tried the online e-consult service. They say you will hear within 48 hours. It's now been a week and haven't heard anything. The rest of the world had to get back to "normal" after covid levels dropped. Not the NHS.

Review titled Disappointing episode

I requested a referral to a specific consultant and this didn`t materialize. Today I received a message that I should refer myself via the consultant`s medical secretary. I think this is very bizarre behaviour.

Review titled Impossible to get an appointment
Rated 1 star out of 5
by RachEL Quamina - Posted on 26 April 2024
I require examination after a very challenging pregnancy related illness. Mobility is limited I need help with walking / exercising, I am in extreme pain with my back yet I am constantly fobbed off at reception. They will only book appointments for over the phone which is not what I need. Today I tried to book my 5 week baby's first appointment which is due at 6 - 8 weeks at reception, the lady told me "but he's 5weeks" I'm fully aware how old my newborn is I need to book the appointment for 6 - 8 weeks which starts from next week. Now please feel free to contact me and explain why. I am suffering in pain myself and can't get a exam. But not only that but I am not about to book my newborns 6-8 week appointment at his age of 5 weeks as my midwife advised ? I'm sick of this practice! You can't get service, and when you do the doctors are due, receptionist gossip about patients at the desk which I witnessed today meanwhile awaiting the nurse. I am sick of it! Poor service on all sides! I am taking myself and my newborn and registering elsewhere. Do not use.

Review titled Advanced bookings
Rated 3 stars out of 5

I can’t understand why we can’t go back to the pre-Covid system where advanced appointments were available for non-urgent matters. This mad rush at 8am is ridiculous and may prevent someone who needs an appointment on the day from getting one. Other practices have gone back to the old system. And our own telephone ‘blurb’ indicates that you can now book through the NHS app which I have not been able to. So for my non-urgent chronic illness appointments I have to join the 8am dash and redial 48 times!

Review titled Impossible to get appointments
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I had a text from the doctor in January asking me to contact them for a follow up. I tried and tried but to no avail. Gave up after about a fortnight. I have continued calling on random days but when I have been able to get through there are no appointments left. I still have no idea what they wanted to see me for. It’s now March and I want to see them about something new which is worrying me. I tried again over the last 3 days but the same happened. Until today. Although there were no appointments I was told I could have a prebookable appointment - didn’t know there was such a thing. But it is some way in the future. I guess I’ll just sit tight now but I wonder how long I’ll be alloted to go through this and the matter from January?

Review titled Excellent Doctors and good patient care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Milan - Posted on 01 December 2023
we have been with this GP for many many years and have been very happy with the treatment they give, especially the urgent care and treatment provided to kids is very good. All the doctors are very kind and patient and give you time to explain the issue. they also have some specialist doctors who treat Eczema related issues who have been very helpful with treating our kids. The reception staff is also lovely to speak to and also accommodating in making appointments. I can understand that it becomes difficult at times to make an appointment but we have been ok to get an appointment as and when needed I hope we can continue to stay with this GP and be under the care of the excellent team of doctors.

Review titled GP missed allergic reaction
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 September 2023
GP told me I had viral tonsillitis and should get painkillers from a pharmacy. Pharmacist instantly recognised I'd actually had an allergic reaction. Fortunately, it wasn't a serious reaction but it's a bit concerning that a GP can't tell the difference!
