Review titled General Review
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Waiting time was under what the receptionist told me, which was a bonus, very pleased with that, Just having someone on reception that can’t read common English, Got called to the desk 3 times because she couldn’t read my form Yet my handwriting is very neat and tidy, I feel this is an issue. Asking me to show a receptionist my issue yet she’s not a qualified doctor

Had a dog bite. Needed a tetanus shot. All done and dusted quickly and professionally. Staff were excellent. Did not have to wait long.

Review titled Long wait times
Rated 4 stars out of 5

4 hour wait at the walk in centre! Receptionist made us aware but 4 hours when feeling unwell is too long! When I saw the GP, he was friendly and thorough but there is a fine balance between being thorough and needing some urgency to see patients. Surprised no triage style approach - basically first come, first serve!

Review titled Did the job when I needed it
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Andrew - Posted on 20 August 2023
The staff were very nice and polite. They accurately predicted a 3 hour wait when I arrived. The Doctor was very nice, thorough and gave me a couple of treatment options depending on whether I felt I could go and wait again in A and E, which I didn't. All in all, if you're in need of seeing a doctor then this works. One point, the condition I'm suspected of having requires a blood test. They can't do blood tests here, hence the option of then going to A and E and waiting again. The Doctor helped with a better solution to get me through to tomorrow when I'll get a blood test at my GP.

Review titled Quick, helpful and considerYe

With this being outside the station I was expecting it to be dirty, rough and full of the great unwashed. Pleasantly surprised as to how clean and efficient the service was. Nhs111 had recommended I either see my hp (more chance of seeing Elvis) or travel here. Was seen within 15 mins of arriving and received a diagnosis and referral to A & E not that I plan on seeing a gp again anytime soon but this would be my preferred option

Review titled Quick call back after using 111 online
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 August 2023
The form said expect to get a call back within 2 days but someone from the practice called me back within the hour which was a welcome surprise. They recommended I went to the walk in service near me, which I did and was seen quickly, prescription for antibiotics given and away I went. Surprisingly good service given previous experiences, hope this is a change for good.

The drop in medical centre was a life saver, on holiday and developed a kidney infection. Penicillin was prescribed and has done the job. No A & E service needed. The country needs more of these !

I contracted a painful ear infection and was unable to get an appointment with own GP. Although the waiting room was busy I was seen in 40 minutes and was prescribed antibiotics. Within two days I was feeling so much better. The ear infection was making me lose my balance and the receptionist was really sweet and offered to help after seeing how wobbly I was ! I feel very lucky to have received such great treatment so swiftly
