  1. Review titled Prompt Care Given

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Diane Leslie - Posted on 26 September 2024

I've had a horrible neck and chest rash for over 5 weeks which was very debilitating and itchy and numerous trips to the pharmacy trying different things to take it down. Nothing was helping. I called the Centre Monday morning and was seen the same morning thankfully by a very caring young doctor. He prescribed an emollient that I hadn't used. Within two days the rash has nearly gone and I've slept all night for a change. Thank you very much.x

  3. Review titled Hardly worth the effort

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 March 2024

I saw a Pharmacist who recommended I see a doctor but when I visited the practice shortly after they said they had no appointments anytime soon which is their usual response, getting an appointment is extremely difficult and even telephoning is impossible to even get through. I was recommended to call 111 and I was given an appointment at urgent care. The doctor there examined me and sent me for an x-ray he said I had a chest infection and prescribed antibiotics. When I moved here some years ago this practice was amazing, but now is extremely poor. The reception staff in the main are totally unhelpful so it seems I will have to look elsewhere, I am a 77 year old veteran so unfortunately do have some medicinal needs.

  4. Review titled Terrible Reception Staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Kim - Posted on 07 March 2024

Forever having issues with this surgery and its the reception staff not the nurses! They are rude most of the time and change their minds about process, one says one and another says another. A nirse called me with results on tuesday hut i missed the call because of work, i called back and the one nice male receptionist said he would ask her to call me back. Been waiting since so called today and some rude girl said i need an appointment which seemed ridiculous but because i wasnt extra nice to her she booked it for in 2 weeks! Absolutely hate this surgery! I'll be even more upset if they call and its a 2 minute conversation saying my results are fine!

  5. Review titled Shocking surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Simone - Posted on 22 June 2023

Absolutely shocking surgery. The GP’s are rude and disinterested and that’s when you finally get to see them after at least 3 weeks of waiting regardless of the fact that you are displaying all symptoms of a serious condition. Can’t get a sick note done correctly, can’t get an appointment. Can’t get a prescription done correctly leaving us sat in the car in the heat 6 months pregnant with the dogs on our way to our holiday despite checking that it had all been sorted over the phone especially with it being my inhalers which enable me to breath! Had to explain everything 3 times for any sense of urgency to be accepted. Record keeping is shocking hence why the GP can’t provide you with a sick note despite having just being taken in by ambulance. Phone system is shocking and the amount of people that I have spoken to who have dealt with similar is just madness. I appreciate the NHS is under a lot of stress at the minute & it’s taken me over a year of issues to write this review but something really does need to be done now. Our old surgery in Manchester ended up this way and it was eventually closed down for unacceptable practice; and it’s no different at this surgery?!

  6. Review titled Helpful, polite, efficient

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by john Knowles - Posted on 11 July 2023

I was contacted and offered a health check, made an appointment, had a short wait at the health centre, blood sample taken and blood pressure checked, lots of health questions. I was given a form to fill having taken my own blood pressure each day. Blood test result was back in 3 days. Seems to be a very efficient effective system. All staff were polite and attentive.

  7. Review titled Absolutely shocking.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Steven Fort - Posted on 23 June 2023

I've been with the surgery all my life and in the past never had issues. I'm not someone who needs to attend very often but when I or my children have had to the waiting times are appalling. The current group management is definitely not working as there's to many patients for one medical center to cater for. Today I managed to get an appointment for my son who's had a cough for a number of weeks and arrived 10 minutes early. Currently waiting 45 minutes and still not been seen. Also looks as though only one Dr is actually seeing patients. The rest must be doing telephone or video consultations. Very seriously looking at changing drs after today.

I got to the surgery at 8am to make an appointment, got one for 9am. I saw the GP for the first time and it was so nice to see a Dr that listened. First class service, thank you.

  10. Review titled Dreadful practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jackie Wilkinson - Posted on 17 March 2023

This is by no means the first time but have rung 7 times as advised at 8am ti book a face to face appointment, after over an hour of waiting in a queue I have been told to ring back tomorrow, guy on reception needs training in customer service. Not once have I been asked why I need an appointment. Awful service and I will without a doubt be changing GP surgery, as will the rest of my family
