  2. Review titled Incredible responsive care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I can’t thank the team enough, I had been experiencing increasing pain and physical restriction with my lower back and within a month of urgent investigations I have already had several consultations with a surgeon for surgery at Christmas. I cannot thank the team enough for how fast everything was processed and handled and how kind they were when being able to sort out pain relief in the mean time. I felt so listened to and respected, such a lovely hard working team. I have also been in regular contact regarding my mental health over the past few years and no matter who I speak with the care is just as consistent in terms of really taking the time to listen and work with you with what medication is best to keep you at your best. Will forever be grateful to the team.

  3. Review titled Annual Medication Review

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Heather Wiltshire - Posted on 25 October 2024

Received notification that blood tests are required as part of annual medication review. Received results and no tests for thyroid function have been carried out! Had the same issue the previous year, individual taking bloods actually asked me what tests I was expecting and seemed confused when I mentioned thyroid Never had a face to face meeting with an actual doctor about my thyroid and appears to be very little knowledge on the correlation between cholesterol results and poor management of thyroid Checked notes of previous review with a nurse that bears no resemblance to the conversation that took place between us. Absolute fabrication on the Nurses part - diabolical! I have attempted to contact the surgery but just cannot get through and cannot sit on my phone trying the online service as I work Come on Galletly you have the resource to build a fancy extension but no resource to review patients satisfactorily. Patients should not have to chase you to get things right, you have a duty of care to get things right

  4. Review titled Outstanding level of care from an amazing nurse

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 August 2024

Was seen by a highly skilled, empathetic and diligent nurse practitioner twice this week. She listened without judgement, conducted a thorough examination, involved me in decision making and made sure I understood to contact her again if my symptoms worsened. Went back after a speedy response from Dr C via the NHS app and she examined me again immediately referred me to hospital - which was absolutely the right decision as I was diagnosed with pneumonia and was x-rayed and hooked up to a nebuliser and IV meds pretty quickly! So grateful to her and won't forget her kindness.

  5. Review titled Very helpful support

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jennifer Nita Dibnah - Posted on 20 June 2024

Today I visited the practice with a problem I was helped/examined by Nurse .I had bad throat problems- very sore and worrying. She did a thorough examination and was an able to fully reassure me and give me advice on my current issues. I was very thankful for her help and guidance today. She also was able to get advice from the duty GP. I would gladly be very happy to have advice and potential treatment from this nurse again. I was very anxious - she was very understanding and concerned . Jennifer

Received first class treatment - overwhelming empathy, respect and immediate medical assistance which far exceeded my expectations. 2 days later I am already feeling better than I have done for over 2 months.

I used the online appointments option today to request a scan. Within the hour one of the GPs(this system prevents me from naming them but it rhymes with pitchell) had replied taken some more details and agreed to set this up. Very good service

One of the doctors at this surgery went above and beyond to help me. Might of been something simple to them but really put my mind at rest post surgery. I can't thank them enough.

  10. Review titled Unsatisfactory

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 August 2023

I booked a blood test several weeks ago to monitor an ongoing condition. There was a wait of several weeks so I agreed to return early from a holiday in order to get it done as soon as possible. The night before I got a text message telling me the appointment had been changed or cancelled but with no further explanation. I requested a doctor callback on the morning of the appointment to find out what was going on. I was told to ignore the message and that there had been an error. I went in at the appointed time, only for there to be the usual delay. When I was called in, I clarified why I was there, stating that I had seen a different nurse a month previously who had requested this test with a view to reviewing the results before prescribing further medication. I assumed the nurse had briefly read the patient notes and had noted the results of previous blood tests which clearly identified the issue. She took the blood and I said I'd check the results on the NHS app. Later that evening, the results came through. The only blood test that had been done was one that was not required. The test that I needed had not apparently been requested. I went in to the surgery the following day to query whether there had been a mistake at the hospital or if the test had been requested in the first place. The receptionist was unable to be any help at all and could only put a note on the system for a nurse to look into it next week. I explained that this was very frustrating as the appointment had been a waste of everyone's time, not to mention NHS resources. She suggested I book another blood test in over a fortnight's time as they were fully booked till then. I don't think this is acceptable. The mistake was made by the practice staff and there was no acknowledgement of the inconvenience of having to wait two weeks to travel into Bourne again to have another blood test, let alone the added wait to see if I should be taking medication to make me feel better. Rather than making it a priority to get another blood test booked in as soon as possible, the receptionist suggested I drive 30 minutes to the walk-in clinic at Stamford. Someone has just called from the practice to confirm that the wrong test had been done but again there was no explanation or apology, just an unhelpful statement that it was necessary to 'move forward'. I appreciate that we all make mistakes but at a time when it is so difficult to get an appointment in the first place, I find it worrying that basic errors are being made, placing further strain on staff and resources. A few weeks ago, my child's asthmas review meeting was cancelled the day before even though it had been booked over a month in advance. Again, I was given no explanation. One last point, in light of data protection, I object to my full address and birthday being displayed on the screen when I check in. The previous system was much better.
