I recently attended the surgery for a blood test. After checking in I only sat in the waiting room long enough to take my coat off before I was called in for my appointment. The nurse was friendly and excellent at inserting the needle to take the blood samples. I didn't feel a thing. Excellent service. Thank you

Both of my children are registered with the practice. I have always had positive experiences with both doctors and nurses when it comes to the care of my children. I would say that the reception staff need a little education on the military covenant and to understand how registering works for military parents rather than trying to argue that my children cannot be registered with them though. I would also suggest that as the health visitors in southern parishes no longer offer a weighing clinic for babies, that offering up a room with a set of scales on vaccination days would be helpful and reassuring to parents if it is possible.

I arrived for a vaccination appointment, booked in and waited 5 minutes to see the nurse. I am happy with my treatment at Blackthorn Surgery.

Blood sample done very quickly and skilfully. In & out in 5 minutes on a quiet morning and a bit ahead of scheduled time.

Twice in two days, I’ve had appointments with the nurses, once for B12 and the second appt with an ear problem. The girls are brilliant, on time, efficient and a pleasure to visit. Thank you ladies.

We joined Blackthorn Heath Centre 6 months ago as we moved to Hamble. We have been very impressed so far. You can actually book an e-consultation and telephone consultation with a GP very easily. They refer you to specialists very quickly if need be and the whole staff are very friendly and professional. You can even book blood tests there without having to wait too long. What a difference with Whiteley Surgery which was our previous surgery. Well done Blackthorn Health Centre and thank you for all your hard work!

Attended appointment for ear syringe. Was seen on time. Nurse examined ears and told me my ears were clear. She also explained what can cause you to think you’re ears are blocked and hearing poor. Then offered me flu jab on the spot (though I had an appointment booked for two weeks time.) Flu jab administered professionally with no pain (then or since). Excellent service.
