    I had a physio appointment scheduled for 4pm 28th June, I arrived at 4pm and told the receptionist my full name twice and why I was here, she sent another patient who arrived after me to my appointment, she then realises her mistake 20 mins later and tells me I’ll be seen next, I wait a further 25mins only to have another patient who arrives after me take my appointment slot again. I call the receptionist to ask why this has happened, she says she left a “sticky note”, and asks if I wish to reschedule, after I’ve already wasted an hour of my time, I’ve left work to attend, this is ridiculous. How hard is it to assign a patient to their allotted appointment slot when it’s the main task of your job role. I suggest you implement some sort of automated check in system for patients when they arrive to prevent something like this happening again.

    Unhappy yet again your receptionist staff have no mannerisms are unsure what the waiting times are ask to take a seat and you don’t get told that doctors running behind you ask for a call back but they automatically assume appointments for a face to face never call you and when asked to speak to a manager they ask you put the issue in writing the the receptionist need training how to speak to patients in a polite professional manner . They need people skills introduce training for admin front facing staff and too many agency doctors who are no help

    I have been registered with this surgery since birth (35 years) . Wonderful service and great doctors. Receptionists are very helpful . The main doctor is our family doctor and he is fantastic. Registered 3 new family members this year and he has been extremely helpful . Nurses are wonderful.

    I was seen by my doctor who advised me on further treatment. He was able to get an urgent appointment for me. I have always had faith in this practice, and hope to continue doing so. I know it isn't as easy as before lockdown but I am grateful I am with a good practice I can rely on for help, support and treatment.

    I have family and friends who do not speak fluent English and do not know how to navigate or use computers or have access to the Internet. To get an appointment at this practice, you need to fill out a form online which is quite difficult for patients who do not speak fluent English and do not know how to use a smart phone. What happened to calling up and getting an appointment? What are people supposed to do who do not know how to use a smart phone and do not have access to the internet? How are they supposed to get an appointment? There used to be a time where people could call up and make an appointment, now it has become such a hassle. The online form takes ages to fill in and asks irrelevant questions. I have seen similar reviews regarding this issue at the GP surgery, something needs to be done.
